Anyone fancy supporting their football team on Saturday?

I for one am getting a bit fed up with Starve Em Out, Black and Gold and all associated movements. Mo Chaudhry was that bothered about owning the club that he wouldn't pay a bit of money to Rob Lee to secure his shares so any belief that Mo was the saviour left me that day. He tried to get the club on the cheap (fair enough) but failed and hasn't been seen since.

The football season begins in 2 days and Vale actually have a chance of doing well- good manager again, a stronger squad than the one that Micky got to the top of the league last year- i'm not saying we're going to go up but i think we will challenge and so do fans of many other clubs. The only people who dont give us a cat in hells chance are some of our so called fans- who will no doubt not be at the match on Saturday.

I am excited about the new football season. After 3 months of rubbish Saturdays I will be at Vale park on Saturday supporting my team- a team who have a chance of doing something this season. While i am not pro-board by any stretch of the imagination, it will be Micky and the players who will suffer by not having the excellent backing we gave them last season.

And one more thing- can we stop turning every post into a 'slag off the board' fest. It is bizarre how topics that have absolutely no relevance to the board turn into a ****** SEO advert. Some people actually want to just watch a bit of football on a Saturday- or am i on my own?

Hope you enjoy the game.

I wish I could attend, but, given the antics of those who preside over our club at present, I simply can't seek to support their tyrannous regime any longer.

I have my ticket for Burton where I'll be giving my all to the team in terms of support.

I'd love nothing more than to turn up to Vale Park and be a supporter of a club that's being run professionally by open and honest people. Unfortunately that isn't the case so I'm trying my best to make that a reality.

I don't WANT to protest, I just feel I HAVE to because it is the best thing for the club IMO. It's up to us to force a change and get rid of the influences at the club who are holding us back.

I'll be a happy man when I can hang up my B&G scarf forever and not spend my Saturday evenings outside the Lorne Street entrance.

I spent £400+ on 3 ST'S last year despite KNOWING we wouldn't be able to get over for more than half the games in the belief that we were helping the club. The £400+ is STILL in the bank this year and STAYS thete till ALL 3 of 'em are GONE! YES I support the team, but from a armchair in chuffing Sheffield TILL that fateful day arrives!............

How mislead can you be?

If you'd read the recent facts you wouldn't be making accusations of Mo like that.

I want the board gone, but I can't wait for the season to start and going to Barnet. Why assume anti-board people aren't behind the team? None of them want anything less than for the team to do well.

I do agree that certain posters want to mention the board in every thread, which is stupid.

But please get the facts right before you post, or you lose any validity in your argument.

The protest on Saturday isn't needed! The board know how upset we are! STO has worked and I'm glad it has but Saturday should be about the football! Getting behind Micky and the lads!

Anything to make their lives hell and get voices heard can't be a bad thing. It needs to maintain the momentum it gathered at the end of last season.

If people turn up and no one protests, some will think 'ah well, it's obviously not as bad any more'. If people see a protest, they'd be more likely to ask questions if they don't know the details (my dad for instance never checks newspapers/Internet for Vale info, he just goes and watched and hears what I hear from me) or see that the momentum and pressure is still on.

It's not a case of protesting in the hope they'll see people and decide 'ok, maybe they're right and we should resign', if they had AN OUNCE of integrity or decency they'd be gone.

I would beg to differ.

True, they are getting a sense of supporter feeling, but the longer that particularly Bratt and Oliver remain in the boardroom, SEO, or any any Pro-Change movement, hasn't reached it's true aim.

Therefore the protests are still very much needed.

I shall be supporting the lads......just not from inside the ground.

You really shouldn't berate others just because they disagree with you. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I bet you a pound to a penny that I'm as big a Vale fan as you are.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than walking into Vale Park on Saturday but I'm prepared to lose out for the greater good.
