Not the desperate annual, let's give Campion a go suggestions. The guy is a proven duffer. He has never looked at any moment like a player who can cut it in any English professional division and makes Kyle Perry look like Jamie Vardy.

I am not saying we should be playing Campion, he probably needs releasing at the end of the season and sure he will but not sure he is as bad as one of the worst players I have seen to pull on a Vale shirt, Kyle Perry's record of 0 goals in 31 games as a striker will take some beating.

I don't think Perry played all those games as a centre forward. Didn't he play a lot on the left wing?

Our best bet this weekend is probably to re-unite AJ and Dodds. I'd also recall O'Connor.

Southend are a very big team and Inniss might also get a game if he's fit.

It's very hard to see where the goals will come from.

Neal

Purkiss

Streete

Duffy

Dickinson

Grant

O'connor

Foley

Kennedy

AJ

Kelly

I was just about to post this. It fits perfectly as long as Kennedy and Kelly don't completely forget some defensive responsbility. It allows you to get both Foley and O'Connor in the side whilst also letting Kelly have a little more freedom as we've seen how bad he can be in a fixed 4-4-2 at places like Walsall. Finally it should allow us to play through teams rather than just lump balls into the box for no one to get on the end of.

This is the maddening thing about the CB's continually lumping it to AJLS, and the ineffectiveness (so far) of Robinson in the air.

This is where we miss (a) Pope.

But then all the football managers on here and Faceache will moan how negative the manager is for not playing 4-4-2

After speaking to him last week don't think he will feature on Friday.Maybe next week he'll be back.

It would be a start if we made sure Robinson' date=' Moore and Dodds were nowhere near the starting 11 or subs bench![/quote']

Guaranteed that our fans will find new scapegoats every time - not long ago it was Dickinson and Duffy and others - but rather than have a go at you, I'll remind you that when Fairport Nick posted Dicko as his scapegoat, I predicted in a post 3 hours before kick off that Dicko would score and he got the winning goal - his first opf the season but not the last.

This time it will happen again, one of your 'goats' will provide us with a horny winner against Southend.

Port Vale 2 Southend United 1 - just over 4,000 will see us win.
