They have a 12 month payment plan. Not sure how many use it, at least half of my mates that are are stoke fan use the 12 month payment plan.

Not everyone is good with saving money to pay upfront, I know some are and it's just as easy to put to one side and not touch it but people dip into etc. For 2 adults and 2 juniors it's £960 which is a big chuck of money in one payment, even with the 5 month plan it would be £192 a month.

Vale just don't offer good value for customers and don't offer helpful packages, the club should be doing all it can to encourage individuals/families to attend

We had a 10 month plan a few years ago and very few people used it. If we had a 12 month plan some would say they wouldn't buy until they saw how the club were performing. Vale fans, like any other fans, will always find excuses.

I used to use it, it had the advantage that it was immune from a price increase. But unfortunately not from the effects of admin as you know, but if the payments were placed in a protected bank account such losses could be avoided.

What do you want him do give them away??

U can afford but choose not to put nothing in to help your so called club but come on here with your crap I'm sorry geo but your really winding me up again and I see no comment on the post match thread again

I dont want him to do anything.

Port Vale is not a charity. I have supported the team for many years, I dont/wont support the chairman financially, he has his own money to invest, or not, in his business... its more of a preferential commodity, if I want something they are selling I will buy it but "replica" shirts and unusable tickets are not on my list of priorities or must have items.

20,000 Stoke fans can afford it. You can either afford it or you can't. If you can't don't have one. But don't moan about a monthly payment scheme which is designed to make the purchase more affordable for fans rather than being asked to cough up £340 in one go.

They chose stoke not vale [silly beggers], 30 quid a month is better than 70 even if it is longer to pay off.

I think it is a good offer but my complaint is that they will only accept cash!

I am not happy with that as I prefer to use a card and take advantage of the Credit Card

Guarentee so I will only pay once the card machine can be used.

They tell me this is going into a separate account and they cannot take card payments???

Maybe setting up a separate 2016/17 account to keep the money out of the current account, but not available until Feb for standing orders and cards etc. In anticipation of a sale before next season, thus money ring-fenced? I did say maybe.

As I said, when we had the small monthly payments over a longer period very few people did it.

Perhaps the only people to take advantage of it were the ones who needed to take advantage of it... given the economic climate it could be taken up by more than last time.

Personally I dont do payment plans or credit cards, if I cant afford to buy it in one hit I dont buy it but not everyone is the same. If it gets more tickets sold and more bums on seats [which it may] its an option [in my opinion].

You lost me after setting up a separate account... if its a separate account and you dont draw on it its still there next year but deposits can be made at any time by any means...[unless its restricted by the bank (or tax man)]... The cash bit does concern me a little... although not enough to lose sleep or fishing time over

Perhaps the 16/17 ST account will not be available until Feb ready for the SOs, and the cash will then be moved in from the biscuit tin. Can`t think of any other reason for not accepting cards during January.

The payments were made in advance of the sale date so it wasn't a question of buying on credit, it was paying in advance. It also meant that you got next year's season ticket at this year's price which often meant that you avoided a price increase. It wa a great deal but few took advantage of it.

Assuming that Smurf gets a buyer and that the sale goes through by the end of February as he has said is a possibility. Is there a guarantee over the published 2016/2017 season ticket prices being honoured? Or could a new owner review this, bearing in mind that there would still be a few months left of the current season and new owners may have new ideas.
