How strange to see people carrying a Red Hand flag when only a few months ago they were singing "Feed the Pope".

Pathetic threat. Stop trying to derail the positive atmosphere around the club at the moment. We are playing brilliant football that's great to watch and getting results. Why do people on these boards always have to be moaning about something. Give it a damn rest and focus on the positives

 

It's not pathetic, we do have an idiot element- always have always will. Go to the polo if you want polite clapping and back slapping but football has it's issues, issues that need addressing whether or not the performances on the pitch are good or not. If Chelsea had won at PSG last year would they have turned a blind eye to the black guy not being allowed on the train? No and nor was it a knee jerk reaction to a poor result- think bigger picture

For our larger games we do attract idiots especially away whilst I couldnt give a **** about the chants personally it was the loutish behaviour of the people who just wanted to spoil it for everybody else in standing in the aisles and at one point fighting amongst themselves....give yourselves a clap!!!

Because when you have 20 odd fans standing up and chanting "**** the IRA" for ten minutes and throwing their flags around, you cannot but "notice" or "care" about it.

 

It was shameful and embarrassing beyond belief.

So apathy and ignorance is the best way forward? As long as the players on the pitch are playing well we should accept any discriminative behaviour?

 

Really winds me up, this attitude of 'get behind the lads, don't bother with anything else'. I get behind the lads, I'm enjoying the football, but I also don't want to be at games where Vale fans embarrass the club by taking part in moronic chants.
