Good ticket prices shame i cant go as i get paid on the wednesday and the games tuesday so cant aford go. Never mind i will be one of the 400 or so that go bradford on the saturday instead.

I cant go to the game. Even though I don't know who you are, it sounds like you really want to go so if you really are struggling, I will pay for your ticket - perhaps someone else on here will also help you to cover your fare etc. - I don't have much myself, but if you can get the rest of your costs sorted out and really want to go, send me a pm and your paypal address and I'll fund you the £10 for the ticket.

Will anyone else help this fan out with a bit towards his fare ?

Mate thanks for the offer but i dont really want anyone paying for me be abit embarassing really also i would have to ask if i could finish early from work anyway.

Listen, we all fall on hard times, no embarrassment - so if you want to go, you might be the extra voice that cheers us to victory so my £10 would be a good investment then - the offer is there, nobody will know if you send me a private message if you can sort things out with work and the rest of the costs.

Have Vale told WBA we might need more tickets. Noticed this from last Seasons game v Oxford:

League Two outfit Oxford have requested the full ticket allocation they are entitled under competition rules, which means the club have had to reserve the entire Smethwick End. Albion will monitor how Oxford’s sales progress before making a final decision regarding the Smethwick End next Wednesday.

Smethwick End season-ticket holders can either wait for the club’s decision or relocate to another stand.

* All season-ticket holders have until 5pm on Friday, August 22 to purchase their seats. After this deadline, all unclaimed season-ticket seats will be released for general sale.

http://mobile.wba.co.uk/news/article/ticket-info-for-oxford-cup-clash-1832011.aspx

But then you look at their site regarding the Vale game and there is nothing about Vale requesting the whole end and nothing about their fans from the Smethwick road end been forced to move or delay.

Ticket prices for the Second Round clash have been slashed to £10 for adults, £5 for concessions.

Vale have been allocated 2,700 tickets for this fixture.

Tickets will go on sale on*Monday*morning, from*9am, for those buying*in person*through the ticket office or*via telephone (0121 227 222

Why don't you just have a gamble on the weekends footie with your food money say on a team to score bet on evens, then get your thirty quid that way or have a payday loan ( God forbid)

Tbh it seems like the work issue is the main one holding you back. Typical for a lot of supporters now that most of the manufacturing firms locally have either moved abroad or closed dowm

Carl what a stupid idea take a gamble with his food money or take out a pay day loan just for a football match is this what you do this bloke as more sense than you by wishing to go but knowing he can not afford to .
