Looks pretty accurate... I don't think we should be scared of anyone this season and I don't see anyone running away with it.

Is our strike force anyworse than say 10-12 of those teams? I don't think so.

What surprises me is Swindon. Their squad looks very poor and I think Crewe could be in big trouble along with Fleetwood and Southend Colchester and Gillingham.

Wigan look strong but are about to sell their best two players to Rangers.

UTV!!

Had to laugh when I saw the market values of some of the players, 280k for McGivern and 140k for Birchall.

I think the league's wide open this year. As I said at the end of last season, the sides coming down are imo worse than those going up and those coming up aren't better than those who went down.

Coventry I think will do well , as will Sheff Utd with Adkins at the helm.

We will be mid table again, whether it be throughout the season or not remains to be seen. Still a bit of luck and we could make the play offs, on the flip side a bit of bad luck and it could be the other line we find ourselves trying to get above.

I think a number of teams will be fighting to stay out of the bottom 4.. The points total this season could be very close.

Gillingham will not struggle.

Looking at the squads I find it hard to argue we have improved, especially going forward. Blackpool, for some reason a favourite for the drop still have a great squad of players with long term higher level experience. Wigan are still a very big club and this is reflected in the players they still have, pretty much all with higher level associations.

Our squad to me looks worse than our league 2 promo one. Although of course they are unproven and I think we still have enough to get excited about.

Had Innes signed, I'd say we looked ok. Without him we have a questionable defence and a strike force that has not scored enough in pre season. We usually give these minnow team 8-9 nil spankings, not 2 or 3.

Shrewsbury won't struggle.

They came up with an excellent home record and have strengthened a lot since.

They've got about 5 forwards on the books (including Collins, McIlinden, 200k Barnett, Vernon, etc) and a very physically strong team, especially the back four.

Drew 2-2 with Cardiff at the weekend.

They've turned down bids from top clubs for Goldson and Woods.

That's all well and good but have they got "footballing brains" .......questions will be asked.

True, TheSage, although they have been a bit of a yo-yo club in recent years. Very strong in League 2 but struggle in League 1. As we've found, the gap is bigger between the 2 is bigger than it sometimes appears from the outside

Southend look like they could struggle. I was just reading a piece where Phil Brown says he needs five more signings (he's leaving it late then) and they've just lost a pre-season friendly to Braintree. I think clubs that leave signings late do tend to get off to bad starts (I can't understand why Crewe do it season after season, for instance)...
