Gordon Brown did a fine job - and in view of your some people's lack of sympathy for Greek pensioners its rather ironic to hear complaints about pensions.

Glad to have you back from the clinic.I suggest you read this book by James Angelos,it's called 'The Full Catastrophe' and will enlighten you about Greek pensioners.

Interesting how some people on here can get away with personal remarks, but I get told off - so in reply to your opening remark, as it seems it is ok to do make personal slurs now, I'll just say that your posts show a lack of intellectthat would make an amoeba jealous, and I'm told by another poster that you are a real tightass and your breath stinks.

However, I don't intend to spend time reading something from the Daily Mail which is a fabricated account that will have been twisted to suit their agenda. Have a good weekend.

Am I allowed to say I 100 per cent don't agree - and that by saying it is 'out of order' all you re doing is becoming like Johnny Aitch who thinks repeating that his view is right makes it right.

The EU and others lent Greece too much money too soon like the US banks before the crdit crash, and then forced 5 years of unworkable austerity measures on them - when writing off more of the debt earlier would have virtually solved the problem.

The Germans should pay the bill for what they did in WW2, its all very well saying its long time ago, but Merkel of all people, who was grew up in a socialist state and then turned on it to become a right-wing cresature should know better.

The current Greek govt are heroes and deserve praise for standing up to the bullies of Brussells, and a few of you with no idea saying otherwise wont persuade me - maybe they wont win, but they will hopefully destroy the Euro and stop the rush to a US of Europe for the rest of us.

I would assume the greeks went to the banks and asked to borrow money, the banks being in the business of lending money said yes with conditions, the greeks agreed to those conditions and took the money but failed to keep to the agreements so borrowed more money with further conditions which they could not keep and again asked the banks to bail them out of the hole they had dug for themselves.... they could have and perhaps should have said no to the conditions and stood alone to sort their mess out [perhaps like they may have to now]... apply the same logic to any lending institution and your house would have been repossessed a long time ago... its what happens when you spend more than you have both personally and nationally. Bankers and money lenders are easy targets to hate and blame but if greece had been in control of its finances it wouldnt have had to borrow such huge amounts, they have to take responsibility for getting their country in the financial mess its in and stop expecting others to pay for their mistakes.

You wont find it so funny when you are the one being told what to do by Merkel. And it isn't bluff called - Germany will pay more in time as it should and will then pay again when Portugal Spain and Italy grow some and stand up to merkel.

I don't find any of it funny, for the Greek people. The successive Greek governments who have run Greece into the ground through their own mismanagement can go and **** themselves.Actually DC is standing up to Merkel is he not?Tory Britain leading the way again.

I don't agree- it was the irresponsible behaviour of the banks that caused the crash. The US were mostly to blame with their lending mania.

That caused the recession, but Gordon Brown's incompetence left us 1.7trillion in debt , when our economy is only worth 1.8trillion. Still you wouldn't agree as you don't seem to agree with logic or real facts only the ones you have invented.
