Thats out of order.... The people responsible for the problems in greece are the government of greece and the people who voted them in.

Europe didnt cause the economic problems faced in greece, they have bailed them out twice with massive loans that had conditions, as all loans do,.. if you need to blame someone blame the guy playing brinkmanship with the economy and lives of the people, the left wing nut job running the country.... you may well feel sympathy with the people who are suffering but dont blame others for causing it.

 

Try to avoid the personal comments.

 

 

Am I allowed to say I 100 per cent don't agree - and that by saying it is 'out of order' all you re doing is becoming like Johnny Aitch who thinks repeating that his view is right makes it right.

 

The EU and others lent Greece too much money too soon like the US banks before the crdit crash, and then forced 5 years of unworkable austerity measures on them - when writing off more of the debt earlier would have virtually solved the problem.

 

The Germans should pay the bill for what they did in WW2, its all very well saying its long time ago, but Merkel of all people, who was grew up in a socialist state and then turned on it to become a right-wing cresature should know better.

 

The current Greek govt are heroes and deserve praise for standing up to the bullies of Brussells, and a few of you with no idea saying otherwise wont persuade me - maybe they wont win, but they will hopefully destroy the Euro and stop the rush to a US of Europe for the rest of us.

Its perhaps ironic that some of the measures proposed by their pm for the third bailout are the same as the ones rejected in the referendum

 

Of course they are, and some important ones are not, that's just the nature of negotiation.

yes and me the one eyed scotch ******, the tories wont repeal the Robert Maxwell memorial tax as it brings too much money into the exchequer but it rapes the pension funds which impacts on future claimants, and the barsteward had the nerve to exempt the parliamentary pension pot,,,rant over.

Indeed..what the Russians got up to in their part of Germany was appalling (mass rape, forced labour and so on)..we tend to forget that East and West were treated very differently in the aftermath of WWII...although our hands are not clean on this either.
