I have to say that I was surprised and a little bit concerned when I was reading some of the earlier posts in this thread from NS concerning the budget and our lack of strikers.

It didn't strike me as constructive or helpful. It muddied the waters and made fans more anxious and fearful as even a blind man in the dark can see that if we don't sign a couple of good strikers we'll be in a lot of trouble.

The offer of help was because I had previously been involved in a significant way in the clubs most successful ever season ticket initiative. It seems Norman decided not to go down that route. Norman has also been offered help by a number of people on different projects but chooses to go on his own, which he is of course fully entitled to as it's his business. That doesn't mean I have to agree with him.

Get over it your a adult now

Don't worry it will be easy to replace Tom Pope aparantly.

I've not seen any "unwavering blind loyalty". What I am seeing is a pathetic hatchet job at every available opportunity by some.

Perhaps you need to get your facts straight. I have commented negatively on the chairman since Paul Wildes left in May 2013. My offer of help on a specific project was given in November 2014 but I got no response, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest.

 

I agree about a season ticket achieve 5/6000 plan though Tim I just believe supporting a club is getting behind them 100% unless the owners are billy bratt

And the relevance of him was that he was one of several players mentioned who might have improved the team but has now gone somewhere else for whatever reason (probably a lot more money). So has Williams. So has Elliott.

McAlinden might have been another good shout but he's gone to moneybags Shrewsbury Town on a six month loan.

Personally, I was always very impressed with Orient's Mooney but he's signed a 2 year contract at Southend.

 

It is very difficult to sign these type of goalscoring forwards because they're in great demand. I wonder if RP and NS realised how tough it might be.

 

It's looking like we'll start our friendlies with no proven striker in the team and that can't be ideal.
