Why can't people understand that the budget we have is the percentage allowed by FFP ?ie 60% of estimated revenue.If people spend more money ,eg Season Tickets ,guess what we are able to do.?If people don't think £1.7m is not a decent budget I suggest they open their wallets/ purses and cough up instead of ****ing whinging.

Played 15 plus less games than willo yet scored more. Yes it is great at league one level but I do think with a full 42-46 games he get close to 20. Whoever we sign will have a worse goals to game career record, even in the last two seasons where Pope hasn't been as productive.

To be fair mate if a side like Bury on 3.5k gates can outbid us than I would say FFP rules are a load of ******s :D.

I do understand and i will be renewing my tickets. However others may not, in addition on a PR basis there for once could be good news from Vale and clarification like other football clubs and keep their supporters updated. Communication may help get the funds he desires NOW.

What are you basing that on? He has never scored 20 goals in league 1....

 

I really dont see why we cant sign a striker that can score just 9 goals in a whole season. Stop being so negative.

I can't be sure but when the **** hits the fan at Bury we'll find out where they are getting their dosh from blvf and see if any rules have been 'manipulated'.;)

Following on, a report on Radio 5 a few weeks ago said that Uefa are considering altering the current FFP rules to allow owners to invest more than 60% if they wish too.

 

Isn't that what Smurf did last season mate?The important word is 'invest'.

Survival itself is almost an unrealistic hope with the retained list and the retained manager given the loss of Pope probably Marshall and O'Connor

and a much reduced budget and falling crowds but it has to be the aim of the campaign to keep that hard won League 1 status.....as for the play

offs Smurf has stated the money is there for Championship football and everything else is the fans fault.

Do you know what blvf,that's exactly what I said yesterday.There's some alleged dodgy people at Bury.If they've put money into the club as an investment there is nothing wrong with that as long as they don't want it back.I personally don't think mortgaging the ground is the way forward.

Although the retained list casts doubt onon the Vales chances of any real success this coming season it is pointless that anyone should make predictions as to wether the club will be heading towards promotion or fighting to stay in league one; that is until new signings have been added to the squad.

Also if the present players considered to have more ability sign their contracts.
