Look at the clubs coming into the league against those that have gone up or down and both vale and crewe will struggle to aviod the drop imho having come so close last time

Its a difficult one, do you get an experienced lower division player or do you get a young player who is unproven and might work ot it might not.

 

I do beleive if we do sign players on loan we need to give them a chance , players we signed last season on loan spent more time on the bench than on the field

 

The hope was that we'd sign a Champ/Prem player good enough to play alongside Pope like an Ajose or a Ikp.... not a young lad to sit on the bench. IMHO, Vale now need two starting strikers capable of scoring 20+ between them if we are to remain in this division and they won't come cheap.

Why can't people understand that the budget we have is the percentage allowed by FFP ?ie 60% of estimated revenue.If people spend more money ,eg Season Tickets ,guess what we are able to do.?If people don't think £1.7m is not a decent budget I suggest they open their wallets/ purses and cough up instead of ****ing whinging.

To be honest, have read the "Get to know Burton" article on the front page of OVF a while back, the fans REP interviewed seemed to think they were going to walk it and I don't think they will. They also have the same problem with JFH as they did with Rowett; he's been very successful straight away and if he continues the way he started, as soon as a Championship club of note under performs and the manager gets fired, he's gone.

That's surely how it should be? Perform well and you get a better deal, perform poorly and you get a poor contract or no contract. Birchalls offer should be withdrawn.
