You would have to bring that one up wouldn't you? One of my worst days watching Vale. Me and Tommy Maclaren's Boots demanding Dennis Butler resign after the match - to his face.

 

Anyway, back on topic. To stage a Good Friday game at 3pm is nonsensical given that in the Potteries so many are working. This should have been a 7.45 match. As for the game, the players owe us a good performance, and this is the ideal opportunity. If they don't perform in this one they never will.

Neal is out (one game only I think), Junior has a hamstring problem, and Moore might not play again this season.

So that makes selection a bit easier.

 

Quite honestly, we need to throw the kitchen sink at this one and not tamely play on the break. Give the new lad a chance on the wing and have a real go.

 

Brown will play but the make-up of the back four is anyone's business.

It was, I was there and Wigan were just out of non-league.

 

Horrific stuff, Id prefer to remember going there in 1993 and winning 4-0 about this time of year with a smasher from Bernie Slaven. I miss that ramshackle heap of a ground with its altitude sickness high main stand, and mud-mound behind the goal and their little the and pie stand - great stadiums with character like that are a thing of the past sadly.

I honestly cant see us getting much from Rochdale away, PNE home or MKD home, that doesn't leave much and Id hate to go into the last week of the season still needing a win to stay up !

 

Time to really get behind the team,but if they don't go ahead early or are losing, not to get on their backs but encourage. Patience and unqualified support needed - and Id hope for a 5000 plus gate at least.

I just cant believe what a **** up the season has gone...When we beat Coventry, we were 2 points off play offs, and 13 off bottom 4..

If it hadn't been for the attitude of the players that night we should have won with ease. To think we took the lead twice and they looked as bad as anyone we've played was just an absolute joke.
