Who can forget the Wigan Wipeout of 1979....pretty sure that was a Good Friday.

Half time; Wigan 0 Vale 3

Full time; Wigan 5 Vale 3

I was a bit too young to go that one. I've heard all about it though from my Dad and Brother who were there.

And I thought having to watch the 4-0 to 4-4 QPR game in the 90s was bad!

I admit lose this and surely Page cant continue to be manager, but also can we risk bring a new manager in with so few games left..

I just cant believe what a **** up the season has gone...When we beat Coventry, we were 2 points off play offs, and 13 off bottom 4..

Coventry lost again at home tonight to Leyton Orient 0-1.

The team need to put a shift in and get the fans behind them, as they've been pretty poor recently. They must keep their gobs shut and start producing on the pitch.A win on Friday will go a long way to ensuring Vale stay in this division and who knows, maybe helping a few players too with their futures.Lose and we could be in big trouble.

At the least the players are trying to keep the season alive till the last match.

If we can't beat Colchester, god help us against MKD, Preston and Fleetwood. Normally 50 points would be safe, but this season the table looks so squashed, that all bar the bottom two look likely to beat that.

Yes, will be interesting to see what our support is like because for the last home game WE were a disgrace.

I hope those on here calling for fans to be vocal and back the lads will be as loud on the terrace as they are on the internet.

Come on vale, a win today , I can feel it

Have faith Valiants. We'll keep a clean sheet, win by 2 goals, all the squad will give their all and we will be royally entertained to wipe away some of the doom that is descending back on Vale Park. Back the lads today, please.

We are certainly due a game like that.Hope the players are up for it and provide it today.
