Matic & the Moany One!

Did you see the incidents? If that had been the other way around, and Chelsea had got away with what Burnley did, everyone would have been going on about "big club bias"!

I don't care what anyone says, if that had been the other way round, and Dyche had had reason to complain, people would have been lauding him for being an honest, straight talking English boss, in charge of a plucky smaller club who've just been robbed!

Dyche finds Mourinho's view hard to believe?

Listened to Moaning Minnie's post match interview and could'nt help thinking what a right mard he can be at times

The 'Special One' is far worse than most, but isn't amazing that virtually all the managers interviewed only see the so-called bad decisions when given against their own teams. How many times do we hear an objective fair assessment of an incident--almost never! Arsenne Wenger always amazes me with his 20-20 perfect vision when one of his own players is fouled, but when an Arsenal player commits a foul, dear Arsenne always says he "didn't see the incident." Well, all I can say, is that he (and nearly all of the other Premiership managers) should go to Specsavers!!!!!!!!!

I didn't think Barnes was malicious. He'd just got his pass away and it was his follow through that caught Matic rather than attempt to tackle him.

That's how it looked to me, Matic was the one that came in on Barnes blind side and was caught accidently with the follow through of playing the ball. That is why no action will be taken against him he did nothing wrong.

What about that dreadful challenge on Ivanovic earlier in the game? When you see those two tackles by Barnes and compare them with what Lines got sent off for at MK Dons it does seem ludicrous.

Did nothing wrong? He nearly broke his leg!!!

Talk sport did a story on it and they actually believe Barnes should be banned for the season

To reduce Matic's ban they are surely admitting wrongdoing by Barnes, .

Apparently not. This is what the FA Commission said:

Roger Burden, Chairman of the Regulatory Commission, said: “In reaching this decision the members of the Regulatory Commission rejected the mitigation advanced by Nemanja Matic in respect of the provocation and tackle he received which led to his act of violent conduct.

"The violent response of Mr. Matic to the nature of the tackle cannot be condoned and does not vindicate his subsequent actions. The members of the Commission did, however, accept the mitigation in respect of the level of force used by Mr. Matic and the nature of the contact he made with Mr. Barnes of Burnley FC.

"Having made those considerations we determined that the standard punishment of a three-match suspension would be clearly excessive and, therefore, ordered that the suspension be reduced to two matches.”

So it appears the reduction of one match was because Matic didn't hit Barnes very hard. On that basis we should surely have appealed the Chris Lines one??

There should be no electronic assistance of any sort for the ref. No goal line technology. Not even TV replays of incidents.

Then we can get rid of all those toss pot summarises and all get back to debating it in the pub over a pint.

Just like the good owd days before money and Sky TV destroyed our national game.

To be fair the three idiots on Monday Night Club did make asses of themselves over it but listening to Gary Neville on Talk Sport I thought he spoke really well about this and a variety of other subjects.
