How long does Brendan have left?

Recommended Posts

Another abject performance currently despite a dream start against Palace.

Aside from Lallana I'd be looking to start again. The midfield and centre of defence looks particularly woeful (then again aside from Chelsea can any team in the PL defend properly?). Never really believed one man could have so much influence on a teams success but Liverpool without Suarez are a completely different team and look devoid of ideas.

If this goes on and they don't qualify for the next round of the CL I'm struggling to see a future for him beyond Xmas. They do have a run of games starting today that should give them a great opportunity but I'm struggling to see how there will be a change in fortunes and who is going to give it to them.

Don't forget that Southampton can also defend, bearing in mind that they currently have the meanest defence not only in the Premier League, but across all 4 divisions.

Back onto Liverpool, agreed they look pretty abject at the moment. Granted that Suarez is a huge loss for them, he always was going to be a massive loss; however Brendan has had a good £100+ million warchest to spend on brining in re-inforcements during the Summer and by and large he seems to have massively wasted these funds.

Their defence was poor last season and they expected Lovren to be the man who would shore up their defence. That clearly hasn't happened. They look devoid of ideas at the moment and are so clearly reliant and desperate for Sturridge to return from his injury it's frightening.

The clock must be ticking on Brendan. Not good enough and it's not as if he can claim he hasn't been backed in the transfer market; he has just wasted large sums of money on poor players, just like King Kenny did.

They've lost four on the trot now and they are playing so poorly that I'd even give Stoke a chance next week.

That result was the highlight of an otherwise pretty miserable footballing weekend, though Stoke lost but I haven't a lot of time for Burnley either.

I actually like Brendan, a genuine man, but let down by rubbish primadonna players and fans who expect too much from a club without a title in nearly 25 years, it will be 50 more before they get near again, if ever.

There was stunning criticism of the Liverpool team on Sky by Jamie Carragher. He thinks there are serious problems in the squad including leadership. That is a strong comment because he is good friends with Steven Gerrard who he also criticised for one goal. He sees the squad as needing 4-5 players.

For me it looks like the signings are not working as replacements for Suarez. Suarez is starting to fit in at Barcelona as a creator of goals rather than scorer. But they have got Neymar as top scorer and last night a Messi hat trick took his league goals to 253, the all time top scorer in La Liga. Liverpool wont be able to sign any of those players nor Ronaldo and really that is what is needed to replace Suarez.

Last season was a 1 off season Liverpool fans will probably not see again for a long long time. I do thing Brendan is a dead man walking, and im expecting Klopp to be Liverpool manager very soon..

You can say the same about Arsenal. I like Arsenal, but I do think enough's enough now.The last 3 games against Anderlecht, Swansea and Man Utd, which they should of won all 3 games quite comfortably, but they didn't is quite worrying. ..I do think this is Wengers last season as manager. He'll always be an Arsenal Legend, and rightly so, but the longer he does stay the fans will start to turn on him.. I haven't got a clue who they'll replace him with though..

Jurgen Klopp basically issued a "come and get me" plea to the Premier League this weekend, cracking manager and would suit Arsenal down to the ground....

I would love him go Arsenal tbh, but I don't know if he'll wait till end of season or not. Even then, im not convinced Arsenals board will even want get rid of Wenger.
