Season is over.

Recommended Posts

I heard people behind me say the season is over and its only just November, so its not one person and I have to agree bar us winning every game we have now and pushing into the playoffs ( highly unlikely ) our season is over.

its not rocket science. its the facts

I honestly don't see why we would have to win every game, besides Bristol, mk dons and Preston this league is very poor, were in good form and beat Rochdale I guarentee there will be a thread in here suggesting we will make the play offs. Anyway what's up with a season of consolidation? After a poor start a mid table finish is good and IMO it's interesting to see how we develop under page and if any of these younger lads can break into the team. We could also go the other way, go back into poor form and be fighting to stay up, the season is far from over, 30 games to go it's ridiculous to even suggest it's over. Also to be fair if every game is going to have 7 goals in id say it's pretty exciting anyway.

We have long standing problems against good pass and move sides. Think back to last season when Rochdale murdered us in the JPT, Brighton in the FA cup and this season Cardiff and MK Dons embarrassing us.

We cannot play like that because MA never encouraged that possession type of football and some of our players (Duffy eg.) would be terrible if we played that way. Page will have his work cut out to plan for the next two games as we can`t just play the way we always do and hope for a lot of luck.

I would start with dropping Lines who yet again let us down in midfield, when he lost the ball and failed to stop their man going on to thread the ball through for one of their first goals first half. Against a team who keep possession so well we cannot afford passengers in midfield.

What did yesterday teach anyone that they didn't already know? We look decent going forward but can't defend. That's been apparent since the first day of the season. The only thing I'm surprised about is it has taken until November for our first 4-3.

I predicted a 4-3 either way on here at HT yesterday, can't believe I din't get ON!......

So you are upset that we don't play pass and move football like MK, but would rectify that by dropping our best passer of a football?

Plenty left in the season yet. We need a minimum of ten more wins and then to use the season to develop talent and a much more cultured style of football. We are still in the FA Youth Cup with the prospect of a tie against Manchester United if we can overcome Bury.

The defending problem has been apparent since the 2nd half of last season and has just carried through!

not been reading this but why start a thread about the season being over already... lost to a very good team who will no doubt go up this year out the FA cup yeah but its not the end of the world theirs still 30 league games go at and 90 pts still up for grabs the season is far from over yet.

7pts from the playoffs 4 from the drop zone could go either way  shame we have such drama queens supporting the vale
