Glenn Oliver - A Retraction

He didn't make a statement from my understanding, he wanted to ensure he could change his vote back to its rightful position.

The guy would need to make a statement to the police for anything to come of it, but as I said to you at Vale, it is unfair to put someone of that age in that position.

So he used sign language then?

The gentleman concerned obtained a solictor's letter to support his desire to withdraw his changed proxy and revert to his original intentions. Is Glenn really saying he did not visit this gentleman and persuade him to change his vote??

You know what I mean Nick, telling the story to the solictor in order to ensure his vote can be changed will not result in any charges. The solictor would need to be instructed to contact the police.

So Glenn is calling this guy a liar then???? Does the solicitors letter name the director who "visited"?

I was also told at the EGM that Mr Oliver had been around to the elderley gentleman's house and harassed him in his own home to change his already submitted proxy form in favour of the board. Apparently Mr Oliver would not leave his house until he got the gent to agree to changing his proxy form at the EGM.

The person who told me this had a direct involvement with the gent at the EGM so I know who to believe despite what Oliver told you.

Well here is my 2 pennith worth.

If there is evidence (i.e solicitors letter), and if we (NLV, Supporters Club etc...) can obtain a copy then why cant this be submitted to the F.A..? as this surly isnt the act of a fit and proper person...?

That then may be enough to remove Oliver from the board and with the NLV representitive appointed to the board there then would be a 50/50 split on the board.

Bratt/Lloyd and Sims/NLV Rep making the board more even, and we would still have the 4 directors to operate the club.

Just a thought anyway..!

So, just to clarify this, he did visit the gentleman concerned, the gentleman concerned was quite elderly, he was visited late at the night, he did hold a significant amount of shares that, up to that point, were to be used against the board and he felt concerned enough to contact his solicitor?

Thankfully, though, there was no harassment. I see.

Can I clarify something. I have double checked this with on of the parties involved - it was not a solicitor's letter but a letter written by the shareholder himself after taking an advice from a solicitor.

Interesting that they went to such lengths for an incident which Mr Oliver claims didn't happen.
