Season Ticket push?

smithie

Recommended Posts

Putting aside the "Lifergate" story, there has been plenty of positive action at the Vale this week.

The new signings offer the prospect of a very attacking side, and if the new wingers are any good we could be in for another exciting season.

It would be great to see the club now push the sale of both full and part-season tickets on the back of these new additions.

It should be possible to link the new signings and season-ticket angle both online and in the local press.

This good news may just be the nudge some people need to shell out!!

I paid for my season ticket back in May. My son, is going to be studying at the medical school in Nottingham / Derby for the next four years. He is also a practicing radiographer. The reason for saying this is that it is difficult to predict when he can go to matches and difficult more me to predict when I can pick him up and take him etc. It is a easier now that tickets can be bought online to buy single games, but their may be a market for a 5 game flexi ticket which would cope with the type of situation I am talking about.

The 10 game tickets went on sale this week didn't they? I thought there might have been a bit more publicity if that was the case.

Still overpriced. The 10 game season ticket offer would be brilliant if it worked out £15 a match (£150 per ticket) Sadly many will see £18 per game as too steep and not much incentive at £4 saving per game.

Our "non existent" publicity department could have pushed this now and instigated several news/paper/radio adverts/messages. Sorry to say that Vale still will not know how to channel good news/signings into the public domain and try and sell themselves better. Hopefully those that follow Vale can spread the good word that we are building a decent attacking squad, worthy of people's attendance.

A £40 saving for ten games is a cracking saving.

If people don't want to go or can't afford to that's down to them but I'm surprised anyone is knocking what is another great offer.

Yep why not, surely the club will do this to promote loyalty and longevity amongst these fans.

Sadly, I think not. After all, they haven't currently got that great a record of promoting loyalty and longevity #backthelifers ;)

It really does feel like some people wait for even a half-chance to have a go at someone or other at the Vale!

How could they have promoted this before the latest additions had actually signed? The ink on the contracts is still wet for heaven's sake.

If they don't do something within the next week or so then I agree it's a bad show.....but give them a flaming chance!!
