The reviews dont sound great, but he is an international

True, although I don't think NI are spoilt for left backs. The other thing a lot are saying about him is he is a bit of a 'party' boy and likes a drink. We've had a fair few of those.

Anyways, lets see what happens, may not even sign yet.

You have to trust the manager with these things.

If it is the tall blonde lad who has played at Vale Park before (was it with Morecambe on loan?) he used to be regarded as a decent prospect by Man City.

Maybe he's lost his way a bit but if has a chance of coming closer to home and playing in Div 1 he ought to be hungry to achieve success.

Any signing can be a risk to if it works out, so called good players can turn out poor and poor or out of form players can turn things around, we shall see, you have to trust the manager and his scouts for now.

Ryan Mcgivern having at medical at the vale today apparently it says on twitter :). and they are a few depressing reviews about him but i think micky should give him a chance and i don't think anybody should take notice on what other people say about him.. at the end of the day it is their own opinion about him.. he will probably be a good player for us.. who knows..

Apparently he is better playing at centre half than left back and he could go up the leagues by playing as a centre half i have heard on twitter.. but we will need cover anyway in left back so if dicko gets injured or suspension.. and but maybe ryan mcgivern could play in the centre half role when dicko can play in the left back position. but i still think we could be looking new right back though..
