Is Mourinho a hypocrite?

The 'Special One' is getting a lot of stick after parking the buses at Anfield yesterday.

Is he a hypocrite after accusing West Ham of doing the very same thing earlier in the season?

West Ham had one shot at Stamford Bridge to Chelsea's 39. At Anfield yesterday Chelsea had 11 shots to Liverpool's 26. Hardly the Alamo that Rodgers and Co have been suggesting. Chelsea did score two goals as well!

Agreed. But the result didn't fit in with the pre-conceived narrative of the national press.

Mourinho once said: ‘I hate players trying to provoke situations.’ when he criticised Luis Suarez but he has harboured such schemers as Didier Drogba,Ronaldo and Pepe in the past and encouraged them to use all their talents to help him succeed in management.

Mourinho just can’t tell it how it is,he thrives on being controversial and doesn’t care who he upsets but he is losing a lot of admirers with his silly talk.

Always makes me smile when managers, players and supporters complain about other teams wasting time when their team are losing, but their team do exactly the same when they are winning.

He's no more of a Hypocrite than any other manager. They're all very quick to point out any decision they feel has gone against them but very few comment when they been given the run of the green.

 

Chelsea had 3 of the 4 best chances in the match. I guess the difference between the West Ham match and the Chelsea/Liverpool one is Chelsea HAD to win the game. Jose picked the tactic he though would give them the best chance. A draw was no good for them but would have suited Liverpool perfectly. Tacticly naive from Rogers. Tactically astute from Jose.

If I took anything Mourinho said at face value, I might consider branding him a hypocrite.

Though appearing frequently in the media and seemingly to be quite a charming and harmless character Mourinho, in reality, is an arrogant, self opinionated hypocrite who needs to keep his mouth shut and show other teams, players and managers a bit more respect.

I thought his comments about Wenger being a serial loser were in bad taste and unprovoked and the way he sets up his teams in some away games is appalling. He did it in Madrid, at Liverpool and all the time when R Madrid used to play the great Barcelona team. It was like a wrestling match at times.

I'm not denying that his tactics often work and he is a clever manager but so he should be with the money he's splashed out on players over the years.

But he is a distasteful little man.

I'm not denying that his tactics often work and he is a clever manager but so he should be with the money he's splashed out on players over the years.

 

He won the Champs League with Porto when spending comparatively little and beat a load of teams who had spent considerably more on the way.

 

But he is a distasteful little man.
