I think Adams is handling Billy Knott very well. He is young and hasn't had much experience at this level. He needs to become comfortable with the pace of the game etc and get his fitness levels right. Rather than throw him in from the start and demoralise him if he has a bad game and is subbed, bring him on for 20 minutes and let him have a go seems to be working well. Joe Davis played against Stafford Rangers for 120 minutes on Monday night so he wasn't going to feature last night.

In my opinion he makes them the scapegoat for anything that goes wrong. He won`t take on his favourites- Griffiths, Loft, Birchall etc etc.

Griff has been dropped this season and Birchall has been a bit part player so they aren't great examples.

 

Aside from Neal, Loft has been our most consistent player this season so he's hardly a great example either.

 

I think he's doing fine with Knott, in the two games he's started (both defeats) he's been great in one and poor in the other. Micky sees him everyday in training so he's probably the best judge and remember he was hardly a regular starter in the league below for Wycombe towards the end of his spell just before he joined us.

Yes, I think Adams handles palyers very well, if they want to be handled. He managed to get Ryan Burge to play more games for Vale than any of the other teams he had been at and we only lost him because of Wildes intervention.
