Sam had a problem with his aggression when he was at Vale, he still seems to be racking up the yellow cards at Chesterfield.

Thought this was a thread about Robbo? Strange inner it that some always go on to talk about others that have left us when fans are having a go at one in the present fold?

 

We all know our back 4 have been pretty inconsistent all season and only recently have we had a more stable formation there. It may be that we have played so called poor teams but Joe and Jack deserve and need loads of games between them. Adams has chosen to leave Robbo out, so be it. We do have cover for central defence without Robbo. The only factor for me is Robbo's ability to score from corners and set pieces but surely that should be done by forwards in the main any case?

 

We are safe in mid table, a place none of us expected before a ball was kicked. No place for doom and gloom, even if current form has lapsed. The squad will still get us through and we will be playing in Division 1 next season.

 

Our worries should centre around what budget is set for next year, when players contracts are sorted, when Adams future is sorted. Until then get on with supporting Vale. They need us now, perhaps more than at any time this season. Most of us have gone through far worse and the life of Vale fans is never ordinary! Keep the Faith, retain your belief in the club.

Sam voted MOM in last nights in Chesterfields Wembley bound side.....AGAIN........Nuff said...;)

But will he actually play at Wembley or will he be suspended!

Sam was a good player but sometimes had a rush of blood due to his enthusiasm.

Why are Vale fans so obsessed with ex-players? Quick to stick the boot in when they fail elsewhere, but equally as quick to cry about them being successful in another side. Who cares? They're no longer associated with Port Vale Football Club for one reason or another. There's hundreds of footballers who perform heroically for some sides, but dreadful for others, and vice versa. Get over it and move on. It's tiresome hearing it.

Against teams with very poor scoring records. I have a feeling Jack and Joe will look pretty **** when we come up against a team actually in form and not the dross we've played in the last 3 games (even Swindon hadn't won in 8 when we played them)

**** me you have to be the most pessimistic person on this forum! Whenever Vale lose you comment about a million times. I know it's a forum and you can post whatever you like but you're going way over the top, which is a ironic as that is practically what you were pointing out about someone else.

 

Jack and Joe have done very well since they've come in. Okay, we've not played particularly brilliantly but we've dug in and if it wasn't for an extra time winner we would have nicked another valuable point on the road. Any point away from home - regardless of the opposition - is a good point.

 

I personally think Joe Davis has been brilliant since he's come back. He's only 6'0" but he seems to win everything in the air - just needs a bit more strength as he struggles a little against attackers with strength (Akinfenwa for example). In the games I saw him alongside Robertson he showed him up.

 

From what some people post you'd think we'd be bottom. Chin up lads.
