Impressive display from our lot. The two wingers (Musungu and Agbaje) were cracking. Musungu got 2/3 assists, Agbajer got 2 goals. Cuvelier, Lund and number 8 dominated the midfield that contained an experienced pro in Tommy Fraser (who was a steaming pile of horse*****).

Bayern it's pointless scouting Stoke reserves as it's well known that you won't loan your players out to Vale. There's no way either Dicko or Cuvelier would have been made available to Vale for loan. Just ask yourself when was the last time we loaned a player from Stoke - probably about 1979!

 

Its got nothing to do with the managers at stoke either, more to do with the Coates family and even more to do with the female side of the gambling empire.

Aaron Maclean? He's 30 years old, has been given a six figure signing on fee and becomes Bradford's highest earner. I wouldn't want to make that kind of commitment for a player who's done nothing since leaving Peterborough. I'd rather young Hugill was given a chance to shine.

 

Dagnall? Again, we don't particularly need a striker. Especially one who'll be commanding a decent wage despite struggling to score for the past three seasons.

 

Give me a young, hungry, raw player over a journeyman looking to pick a wage anyday of the week.

 

I think your forgetting it was "that type of player" (lee Hughes) that got us out of the division last year. I see what ur saying but from what iv seen we have a well balanced midfield do we need another one compared to other areas of the team.

Well balanced? We've had Dodds playing out wide for the past few games.

Our midfield has needed improving all season. Lines brilliant, Griff not good enough. Lines and Cuvilier = Promotion. How you could suggest Maclean or Dagnall would be better signings is mad. We definitely needed a centre mid over a striker.

I personally feel we should be concentrating on the defene! People have raved about Dicko and Duffy recently but we concede goals for fun!! Conceding 4 goals to a mid table league 2 team isn't good!

To be honest and realistic I don't think anyone expected us to have had such a good season to date.

Yes - we are suspect at the back but I'd rather see us involved in 2-2, 3-1, 1-3, 3-3,2-1, etc. than scoreless games or single goal encounters.

We've been richly entertained by the Vale and the quality of some of our opponents.

 

Perhaps Grimmer and a rejuvinated Davis will help us but we also need to keep possession better and hopefully this lad has good ability on the ball. From reputation he seems a cracking signing.

The key for me is a consistent back four, by that I mean no chopping and changing every week. Hopefully with Grimmer and Davis being young lads they will be less injury prone and start to gel at the heart of the defence! Well here's hoping!!!

The answer is none really because defensively it would probaby be Loft or Birchall. Neither are very tall and good in the air and Birchall is not a strong tackler. Loft for his defensive qualities but as we saw recently we miss something in midfield when he's not their.
