A few weeks ago I would have been clamouring for a centre half, but the rebirth of Duffy has made me think otherwise. He's been brilliant. Chilvers has impressed me regularly and Robertson has been ever-present up to yesterday.

 

A winger would be nice, as JMW can be inconsistent and I prefer Tomlin up front. Apart from that, I think we're fine.

Not sure we will be bringing in anyone. However, if we can get Prem youngsters on loan and their club pays their wages, that could be good for us.

Agreed, easy enough to bring players in, but it takes longer to make a team. players need to settle, bond, develop, learn each others strengths and weaknesses, etc. Managers make teams, it takes a while.

Cant see any inbound activity given we are already beyond the maximum budget we projected. What I would like to see however is MA signed up asap. The sooner this is done the sooner we stand a chance of retaining the likes of Lines, Loft, Dicko and Neal beyond the summer.

Looks like we will be signing Dan Fitchett from Salisbury which will most probably see Hughesy gone. Whether this would be a good move i don't know but it would certainly free up wages.

Why does this mean Hughes will go? I can see Hugill out on loan again personally, great for his development.

My big worry in the summer will be losing Lofty.

He only signed for 12 months in the summer as all his family are down south and for personal reasons he might decide to go.

Hasn't Hughes got more goals than Hugill and willo with less playing time though. I still think he has a part to play this season personally.

I think Hughes would scores twice that at that level, though don't know anything about the fitchett bloke. Hughes is still better than hugill and Williamson. And someone with his experience in the run up to the end of the season could be a huge bonus.
