Duffy was not at his best but he got booked very early on so was super cautious, can't remember who put him in trouble by losing the ball, was it griff by any chance... Griff needs dropping for his woeful performance, others would be. Pope and Hughes did really well for our second and I would like to see them up front at mk dons and replace Jmw with tomlin out wide.

We looked a bit short in midfield today.

Lines was ok but no more than that. He played very deep and isn't the best at defending and putting his foot in.

Griffith was unfortunately very poor and not giving the back four enough protection. I thought Birchall was pretty mediocre too.

We do seem to have these games when there are acres of space in midfield and other teams seem quicker to the ball than we are.

 

JMW was one of the best players on the pitch in the first half and nearly scored a fantastic goal. I wouldn't drop him. He faded later I know but a few of them didn't cover themselves in glory today. The defence looked woeful sometimes.

Didn't think much to the substitutions. Why not make the same changes as against Salisbury?

When we had 10 men we lost. When the opposition have ten men, they still play with an unmarked man available to receive a pass. Explain.

They were irritating but not half as bad as Preston, Rochdale or Oldham away.

 

Defending was poor today and for me only Robinson came out with any credit. I watched Griff as previously I had been told that he wins tackles headers. He missed virtually every tackle and had one header with nobody around him and promptly gave it back to their defence. Hope we can lofty back soon.

 

Happy with the point and our league position. Onwards and upwards, I suppose.

He was poor but to put another defensive player (Dicko) was strange for me.

 

First 25 mins we were ok and unlucky not to have been 2-0 up but that's football. Will settle for a point and move onto mk dons.

Griff has been a regular in the team which has exceeded all expectations and gone on our best run for nearly 20 years he's also had two lots of opposition fans claiming he's the best player they've seen all season. He can't be THAT bad surely!!?
