Criticising someone and wanting them gone are not always the same thing.

Most decent supporters with a complaint would be happy to be proved wrong, it can only benefit the club.

Disrupting the club and not offering a successful and seemingly well-liked and backed manager in the changing room could prove more costly.

 

I don't think we should be making cut-backs in such an important area and hopefully we won't.

Don't think he has been sacked. Nothing on their site about Moore being given the push. Just said they are appealing the red card and thought it was ruff that they did not get a point.

Lets hope Smurf has got his finger on the pulse. If he has, and IF Adams decides to move on, it would make great sense to get Page signed up in anticipation. We could then have the sort of seamless transfer that Liverpool used to be famous for.

I don't buy this idea that we need to get shot of Adams so that Page "the natural successor" can take over. Who says he should be the next Vale manager just because he was interviewed for a couple of jobs he didn't get, plus he has one won one match in temporary charge of a team recruited by Adams. On that basis I think we should all applaud Micky for recruiting a great team which has taken us to 10th in league One (bet Crewe,Gillingham,Sheffield United wish they were in our position) and for bringing in a great assistant manager in Robert Page. Suspect a few on here will be starting their "get Micky out" campaigns once again.After all its been at least a couple of days since the last one !

It really is quite staggering, wonder how long Rudge would have lasted given fan pressure and impulsive chairmen these days (I hope Smurf isn't).

 

The comment about Page having a great eye for young talent is also bonkers and needs clarifying as it has no foundation (other than he has recently started coaching the Wales u21's who have as yet achieved....)

 

I like many others am excited about Page as a prospsctive future manager but a 1-0 shouldn't undermine the tremendous job Adams has done to date, which given the way some are waxing lyrical about Page is comparible to winning more trophies than Sir Alex! :)

 

I'm sure people just always want change for the sake of it.

 

If Adams wasn't offered a reasonable contract and then Page stepped in it would all seem a bit underhand really.

There will be speciation for as long as Page is at the Club and Adams hasn't signed/been offered a new deal.

 

If Page was close to the 2 jobs mentioned, then I can't see him being at the Vale by Xmas and a which point MA's contract situation will be dictated by how well we are doing.

 

There again, Micky might no want to stay.

I agree. He's a great coach but was daft enough to accept the England job. Overhyped, overpaid players whose shortcomings are constantly exposed by decent opposition. He did no worse than any other England manager over the last 20 years.

How is failing to qualify for your one and only tournament no worse that, for example, 3 consecutive quarter finals ala Sven?
