2008 tickets sold

Again, if The Sentinel were doing their job properly they would insist on seeing evidence of this. It doesn't matter how many you tell us you've sold Perry, it's the money in the bank that counts and I think we all know you don't have the cash from 2,008 season tickets! I must have missed the hundreds queueing to renew on the last day of the early bird offer. Plus, isn't it strange how so many have apparently renewed during the early bird offer given you were apparently inundated with messages asking for the deadline to be put back because people couldn't renew in April! Just a slight flaw in your claims there Perry. The very idea sales would be this strong even without a Starve Em Out campaign is laughable given the season we've endured. Still, I suppose it helps Bill sleep at night if he can pretend sales are going just great.

Mr Deakin informs us all is going well. He doesnt say how many of those are adult tickets. Thoughts anyone?===

WOW you mean that we have a comment from Mr N V.

Even so its nothing to get excited about,is that why it has taken so long to announce?

just been to get me lottery and had a quick look at sentinel (didnt buy one), on the back page deakin is claiming they have sold 2008 season tickets (surely a misprint, extra 0 added), 100 of which are under 9's free ones!!

If that is true then all the people who were concerned that not buying a season ticket would send the club into administration can stop worrying and join SeO.

If they can sell 2008 in a month while being inundated with letters saying people couldnt afford one until next month the club is safe.

So people can protest, by not buying a season ticket, without fear of damaging the club. Great news.... more people can join SeO

Apart from those who already paid....... so they can be together.

Still less than 1/2 of last years full total. And considering most people thought the reduced price deadline was 30th of April not that good is it?.Sorry they've been inundated with letters requesting to extend the deadline.probably sell 2010 then.

At work there are in the region of 25 Vale fans, and NOT A SINGLE one of them has renewed their STs, coupled with other close friends and family members who have also chose not to renew, I can't see how this 2008 figure can be factual. In fact, at this moment in time I personally only know ONE person who is going to renew in June!

As Melv has already pointed out the word 'claim' is worth noting.

As a shareholder, I would like the right to go to the club to view the figures that club are spouting.

I also know of someone that knows the CRM system the club have in place inside out, so I would like the right to veirfy them figures

I find it hard to believe that figure is anywhere near accurate. The ammount sold last year minus the number who have signed up to SEO would probably be somewhere around the 2000 figure.

However the renewals they claim to have must be made up of under 9s freebies and under 18s £79 tickets and then there is the thousands that have "inundated" Mr Perry for an extension on the discount period, well we must have found a lot of new fans willing to stump their money up for fourth division fodder. Sorry Mr Deakin I dont buy it.===

2000 free under 9's and 8 adults at a guess.

I've been trying to give Perry the benefit as no-one deserves the **** he gets on here given how new he is to the role however its is absolute nonsence to suggest that he doesn't have the figure breakdown to hand or if indeed he doesn't proves how unprepared he is.

How many on the SEO pledge are actually current season ticket holders though, as opposed to just casual "pay on the door fans".

Have a look through the list, most of the names do not have a row and seat number associated to them.

The article states the number of free under 9's. Its 100. So the claim is for 1908 paid season tickets.
