Having scratched my chin several times and uhm'd and ah'd I've decided i like the new away kit. Really like it, in fact.

I don't do shirts nowadays, I'm more into petrol garden machinery and stuff as I hurtle towards the wrong end of my 30's but I bought the home kit in tribute to Pete Tindall's passing and I reckon I'll be buying the away top too, if the club give us half a chance, of course.

I may even turn into a full kit ****er at matches. That'll look nice.

I am surprised that, since the new kit was revealed on Saturday, the club have not put it on sale already. I'm told it "should be with us in the next couple of weeks" but why not get the money in now? I'm trying to persuade Andy that it would be a good idea to pre-sell it, perhaps online only (this would draw traffic to the online shop). I thought the Smurf was telling us to back the club's need to reach budget targets, etc?

This season's shirt debacle has been one of very few downpoints so far. It's a real shame because there's been a real feel good factor since promotion and this should have been taken advantage of through the summer by sorting out shirts for sale.

We don't know why it's been a shambles but it has and a costly one.

Steve,

Whilst I agree we missed out on sales I have to say, and from previous posts I think you agree, I'm delighted Norman sent the initial stock back and insisted on better quality.

I was comparing the other day the quality of material between the old all black shirt (the last I bought) and the new home one and the quality of material is markedly better on the new shirt.

Also the Training tops are quite simply the best casual wear I have ever known at the Vale - even for an overweight like me!

Dave - he needs to send the new club shop website back to whoever built it as well. It doesn't work well and it is very badly linked from the PVFC official website. Considering all the time they took to launch it, it's very poor.
