Matchday Thread: Morecambe v Port Vale

Thankfully the journey has started, the first step has been made, which is usually the hardest. So onwards to the seaside with a spring in our step. Sort of game we should be looking for 3 points from, against a team with only one more win than us. Apart from injury checks and opponent analysis, stay as we are and go for it, maybe Aspo will spring a tweak on us.

Really looking forward to this. Small crowd but big atmosphere hopefully from the Valiants travelling there. Let's show this Division we are on the march!

I've got a ticket for this one and I'm very hopeful of getting something from the game, ideally all 3 points to close the gap on Barnet. Nothing taken for granted though, we're still dodgy defensively and lack strength in midfield plus doesn't Kevin Ellison play for them? One of those players who always seems to kick us in the groaners!

I just want to end the game singing something we haven't for quite some time - "Super Vale away........."

Ellison was sent off last week so may be banned for this game.

I’d like to see someone in for gunning exposed a lot 2nd half way too slow.

Ellison is 38, if we are scared of him we must be desperate.

There really is no reason why Vale cannot win this game, or get a draw at the very least. I don't want to set expectations too high, but three more points would start to make the middle of the table or higher seem a less distant prospect.

Just keep playing as you are the last two saturdays generally for 75 /80 mins out of the 90 we have created chances ,being positive and look lke we will score .

Team well its a away game and u have to look at who can play twice in four days .

Big game as they all are .

It was Barnett and Turner who came on, not Harry "Pippa" Middleton.
