Well he'd be guaranteed and offered a contract here if that was case. If he got an offer from another, bigger club who were serious and that he fancied it would make little difference anyway.

You are missing the point of rollover contracts. He would never be out of contract with a rollover. It gives him the security of at least a years compo if he's dismissed & the club the security of knowing he effectively has to work a years notice unless a suitor agrees suitable compo.

I don't follow to be honest. Terms would change dependent on scenario's therefore I don't know how any roll over contract can ever really exist. You'd only have to have a dispute at some stage of negotiation.
