Get something straight. You'll never see me saying I don't want Micky Adams here but I don't see this as a priority to the extent Smurthwaite seems to be pinning everything on - one of the reasons he bought the club (nonsense). We're lead to believe he's got a juicy contract to start with and barring a disaster next season Im sure he'll be worthy of another.

 

I just believe he wants the stability of having MA in place in the Medium Term. We fans keep going on about stability this and stability that but complaining when NS try's to calm peoples fears.... Lets just applaud him for taking the bull by the horns and getting one main item of his , probably, long list of jobs to do...

It just seems very OTT and the bigging-up of Adams seems very Bill Brattish. To say there will be an offer for Adams on the table, fair enough, we're happy with that but all this about MA being' unloved' and 'considering his future' and sitting down this week and hoping he'll sign etc etc. It sounds like panic, as if we're doomed without him staying.

 

He'll be saying he needs a cuddle next.

I'd just like to repeat my earlier post. I understand tonight's forum is being recorded. So, you will be able to hear NS's responses to the questions in full rather than as Twitter updates/forum posts.

 

I would imagine that the "the club lost money" quote needs to be in context, for instance. I would imagine that statement had a second part - where he explained his plan to stop it losing money in the future...

What more do people want? We've not had stability for a long long time & Micky has done a great job. In the 6 Towns interview NS said he's done exceptionally well on a very meagre budget. Isn't that the kid of manager we need/want? Why not tie him in?

I don't follow to be honest. Terms would change dependent on scenario's therefore I don't know how any roll over contract can ever really exist. You'd only have to have a dispute at some stage of negotiation.

 

What tends to happen is there's a basic contract (salary) with incentiive based add-ons.
