Season Ticket Sales

Yes,it's a pity we couldn't have cashed in on Calvin Fred but eh oh.Crewe look like making more money on Max Clayton who is another of their rising young local stars.

You can't knock their production line over he years bud, but all those players moved on to bigger and better things elsewhere. One can't help but wonder where Crewe could have ended up if they kept their players - also it must be galling to be a Crewe fan, watching these young stars for a season or two then having them sold and not see the money spent on the team.

You've got to give them credit really, they set their stall out years ago and they are happy to let it continue.Seems to work for a club their size and they can hold their own in League One with a team of youngsters.Their production line just seems to keep churning out top young players.

I think Crewe acknowledge what they are Fred and accept that, don't have delusions of grandeur like others.

Clayton being linked to Liverpool and Man United I notice, one of the best youngsters at Liverpool came through the ranks at Crewe also. Wonder if we will have our players linked to clubs of that stature again.

It's not personal opinion, they've been ranked against each other on the basis of historical data.

Bradford, Notts County & Bristol ended up with the same 'score' after being assigned points on where they rank in relation to the rest of the League in terms of highest ever finish, average crowd, FA Cup success etc..thus they occupy the same position in the table.

If that's a concept too difficult for you to comprehend I've got some Crayons to help walk you through it.

I think what he was getting at, was that when there are ties the next position is not used. E.g with 2 joint tops there would be no 2nd place, the next place being 3rd. Nothing wrong with the general idea, how would Huddersfield be ranked with 3 successive Championships (Old Div 1) as against someone who won 3 over 50 years?

I don't understand why a few on here seem to be disappointed with the 4,300 season tickets we have sold so far.

At the end of the day; it's already 1,000 up on how many season-tickets we sold last season. Things need to be put in perspective.

We'll be averaging over 6,000 fans for home games next season, I'm pretty confident of that. The last time that happened was during our Championship/Division One days in the late 1990s!
