Owen to sign for Crewe? And Burton are in the hunt too.

As said before Crewe are even less ambitious than Vale - until Dario cops it he'll be their manager whether if he took them to non-league.

I can't accept that he'd choose them before seeing how things pan out for Vale over the summer - he's **** if he does

Youve just made that up.;)

The thing is, if Gaz left we would end up with Boom and Sutton at centre half rather than replacing him with a similarly efficient defender due to our chronic finances. No offence to Sutton, but Gaz is rare quality for this league.

With all due respect, Owen is not going to come off the training pitch at Vale and tell the supporters waiting that he is going, that doesnt like whats going on at Port Vale so is going to sign for another club

Don't be so sure. He made his feelings about Gannon very clear to me back in January. The players are just as fed up as we are with the state of this club.

Heard that Owen has signed a pre-contract agreement with Crewe....

Interesting news mate. If he goes it will be a kick in the teeth for the Vale fans in my opinion. I know he owes us nothing but i just feel he would be letting the fans down a little.

Crewe next season, with a couple of good defenders will certainly be pushing near the top end of the table as they score for fun and when you look at us, if things dont change then we will be looking at a relegation battle.

Owen is one of the many in this current squad thats gotta go imho - hes unfit most of the time and not up to the Job of getting Vale out of league 2 - he talks a good game like most of the other failures.

I would keep 2 or 3 of this group - the rest to be shown the door otherwise we will really have something to worry about next season - following Stockport into the conference.

This current board have loads of money for squad re-building , they can afford to turn away investment and dont seem at all worried about the season ticket boycott, so come on V2001 lets see a new manager soon and a major squad re-build with some proper committed/able and proffesional players for a change instead of the cr@p we have currently.
