I voted old which I hope means changing the current one!

 

I think this is a very important move for the club G4E. Think of the revenue that this would create, I know it would hit the fans in the pocket but the people who buy new kits etc are going to buy them anyway and this could lead to a massive push on merchandising. Also think of the new trade local tattoo artists will make!!!

 

One thing that does concern me though is after this years sponsorship debacle (cheers Mr Ryder), we've had about 75 kits out in the last 12 months!

The 1954 badge for me. Im sure at some point we will sell the naming rights for the stadium aswell as other 'modern' initiatives so it would be good to retain a sense of history and origin. Equally we aim to be a community club and therefore having the town's coat of arms in which our stadium is built will be symbolic of this.

I just think its fantastic that our biggest problem at the moment is voting over a badge, that's how far we have come already, as for the badge I've got both tattooed on me so not fussed at all. Happy days.

I do like the old crest, but i'm not really liking the proposed 'new' version of it. The option of new, current or old from the club would have have nice, but i'm not losing any sleep over it... it's just a badge.

If the new owners want to herald a new era at the club, I m a liittle puzzled as to why we would change the club crest to an old one. If we are marking a new chapter surely a brand new crest would be more appropriate. Personally I prefer the current crest to the old one. I don't mean to sound negative as in a way I m glad the new owners are looking at everything including the crest to see how we can improve, but surely there are more pressing matters commercially.

Seriously though, "for all who have gone before" might look better in latin if thats possible?
