I really think this will split the fans right down the middle. Going back to the old badge is a move backward. I'd prefer them to draw up say 5 new badges with elements of the old ones and let fans vote on it. This should be about Vale moving forward.

Please tell me youre not serious?!

I worry about some of you. I really do.

Totally agree. I think the old badge looks very dated and unappealing. If you think of clubs who've redesigned theirs (ie Stoke, Arsenal, Everton etc) they've all made theirs simple, modern and eye catching. The old one has history, of course, but it doesn't stand out enough and doesn't symbolise a club wanting to move forward in my opinion

Really? I think all of the aforementioned teams new badges are basic and unappealing to be honest, be interesting to hear Wezza and the others take on it being as their team has gone through it.

Completely agree. A new badge should be designed with input from marketers, designers and fans. We should be going for something modern and simple. If you think about most of all the best know brands in the world, the logos are almost always simple.

Sorry but to hell with modern...... the last few modern years have seen us do nothing but decline.

From a marketing perspective a new shirt at the start of the season and a new badge halfway through the season would make more money......

I think the kit should be modern but the badge should reflect our past, our history.
