Anyone else had a letter from the club today inviting you to renew your season ticket?

 

First comment is that I am confused what inspire potato wedges have to do with anything.... I haven't requested any complete marketing or design solutions.

 

Secondly, there is a 'stop press' saying several things that are going on at vale over coming months - I guess the marketing dept is moving forward.

 

Lastly the letter.... "As we draw to the end of one of the most exciting seasons in recent times..." exciting? don't think that is the word that I would use - embarrassing? disappointing? heart-wrenching?

 

Mr Deakin can "promise that next season will bring more excitement, more highs and low, and more great reasons to be a Port Vale season ticket holder." Well we currently have no manager, no discipline and a board who are clearly beyond any reason... so I anticipate further lows, and am not prepared to fuel it by giving them my money.

 

"The season ticket holders are the life-blood of any club. The most Staunch, devoted and loyal supporters who follow their team through thick and thin."

Well Mr Deakin... after having a season ticket for the last 10 years I am ready to dip out of being the life-blood of the club, as I don't wish to pay for the current regime to continue. As a supporter what else can I do other than remove my support? Hopefully this will not be a long term arrangement - but if it is, then so be it. We all pay our money (or not) so we all make our own choice.
