For a bloke with a supposed Marketing and PR background, he's hardly got off on the right foot with me and I'd surmise most supporters! To question my loyalty and telling me how to support a club that I have been attending for 30 years, a club he has been working for about 2 weeks, quite frankly annoys the hell out of me! The temerity of it!

 

Also I think he needs to go on a course to learn how to "write to persuade"!

 

 

As any good English teacher will tell you, a good acronym to remember when writing to persuade is:

 

A FOREST

 

A- Alliteration

 

F- Facts

 

O- Opinions

 

R- Repetition and Rhetorical Questions

 

E- Emotive language

 

S- Statistics

 

T- Trio (Power of Three)

 

Another tip is most certainly don't patronise your paying customers in your first contact with them, Mr Deakin, the ever (or at least until they stop paying you) Valiant one!

I'm feeling very left out. I haven't had a letter yet and I so want to send mine back. Echo the comments so far if that is the tone of the letter sent by Mr Deakin. So having been a season ticket holder for many years well **** them.

Be interesting to see how many people get a reply to their attached letter/note from the club.Will cost the club a nice little sum of money.Or the club could just simply ignore letters/note's attached to the form's.But that would not put PD in a strong position where he should be doing everything he can to communicate with the fan base,gaining their support,trust.

 

Strange how the cheap offer will be over before he is back at the club.Great planning(not).

 

So anyone who has any questions for him but wants to renew at the offer price has zero chance of getting a reply until after the offer has passed by.

I've just drawn a giant phallus on a piece of paper and sent it back to them along with their letter.

I had a text message from a mate at work last night telling me had,had the letter and he was posting it back with a note 'not whilst v2001 are in charge'.I told him not to waste money on a stamp,i would pick him as per normal but we would go that way to work.He could then hand deliver his form/note to the club at no cost.He did this,we arrived at VP about 7015,no letter box to be seen.So he posted it under the ticket office door.He then told me that there were already a few that had been pushed under the door.
