Season done on the 24th January. Says it all really. In our 150th anniversary season as well – and we’ve somehow managed to assemble the worst squad in this club’s history. Absolutely disgraceful.

I’m genuinely worried about the direction of this club under the Shanahans and the people around them. The complete lack of football knowledge in the roles that actually matter is baffling. Time and time again the wrong calls are made at the worst possible moments. Moore should’ve gone after Plymouth – the fanbase was united on that – and yet again they bottled it. Same story we’ve seen over and over in League One under this ownership.

There’s zero accountability. Instead we get patronising statements from the board: the data looked good, the belief was there, he’s the right man. We’ve heard it all before. It happened with Flitcroft when Carol practically told fans off, and it’s happened again this season with Moore. Nothing learned.

I like Carol. I’ll always be grateful for what she’s done off the pitch. But I just want a stable League One club, and based on three seasons in this division, she’s shown she hasn’t got a clue when it comes to the football side of things.

Today just hammered home what we already knew – this squad is nowhere near good enough. Bloated squad, zero quality, especially in midfield. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse midfield three. If I never saw Shipley in a Vale shirt again I’d be delighted – absolutely pathetic for their second goal.

To be honest, if I never saw any of them pull on the shirt again I’d be buzzing. Not fit to wear it. Disgraceful. Someone on Radio Stoke summed it up perfectly – they’re not a patch on the greats of the past, lads who actually earned the reception they got today.

As bad as today was, my biggest feeling is being let down by the people at the top. Again. I spend my hard-earned money following this club up and down the country week in, week out, and this is what we’re served. Players wearing a shirt that a loyal fanbase would give anything to wear for 90 minutes, and treating it like it means nothing.

Good luck Brady. You’ve got one hell of a job on your hands.

Archer will now be out for awhile. Shipley is a disgrace and should be got rid of NOW.
Every player we bought on is substand. Headley can't defend and never holds his position even Connor Hall couldn't pass the ball today. Brown won't score whilst he's got a hole in his arse. Cole holds onto the ball when he gets it.
What system they played I had no idea but I could say that about the Vale dustbins.
Before the match Yates was saying we were a much bigger side but we never won a header hardly.
I know this is a rant but how come other teams get a new manager boost but not Vale for the last 2 anyway.

I wouldn’t cry about any of them being binned off, Maybe they aren’t good enough for this level but the effort was non existent and that’s the minimum requirement.

To a man today that was pathetic and as bad as it gets.

Can anyone seriously see how Brady can last the season. He has already lost half the fan base with his team selections and tactics. With a manager like Darren Moore people were willing to give him time because of his name in the game and contacts. Home games are going to become unbearable for him and he has to attend unlike Carol can stay away if she wishes. People who feel sorry him I'm sorry but he's not done himself any favours. Yes it has inherited a very difficult situation but these last 2 results and performances are unacceptable.

I have no issues with the manager walking over to away fans and apologising and expressing his frustration.

Think that shows character of the person he is, more character than the 11 on the pitch.

How much has some of Carol's decisions cost her and put her in that much debt?  Appointing fraudcroft - who came for the managers job and walked away with DofF.  Allowing Colin G to leave and not trying to keep him - as he was not a yes man really.  Replacing with Matt, who is trying to do the job and seems to be more of a yes man she wants.  Then appointing some staff who don't know about football really and try their best.

Who would want to own a football club.
