I'm struggling to find players to retain ATM after the Moore dynasty. Even croasdale who was a consistent stand out player seemed to be jaded in his play today. Byers divides opinion , yet he seems to be made of Weetabix. Real low point for us as a club.

Not taking anything away from the first half performance. We were like a whippet in build up play and a king Charles spaniel in front of goal.

Well it wont help pack the park v Exeter  for the free scarf event thats for sure

33 years of waking up looking at team news ,buzzing, majority of time ,now i find  no enthusiasm today ,too even watch it, i had a feeling we might give up if concede a goal .

League 1 well i would have thought it go better than last 2 times which were horrific in own way, but this year brings a whole new meaning too the horrors of league 1 and Vale

When players have to go down feign injury, so your manager has too tell you change formation ,and keep having breaks ,good grief there professional footballers they should be able work it out themselves .

Its laughable

Brady will get my support till end of the  season then if back in league 2 i wont bother its time to start living

That makes no sense. Come on, what if it was Ferguson and we lost today. What would you say in here. Let's look into my crystal ball. "Wrong choice, Vale should have got..... as manager." Dead easy for you.

It was common sense to sack off Moore end of Oct wasn't it ? Just saying , Anyway As You Were

Almost as easy for him to go to a game, but he never bothers to go.

Cant score when we are on top, cant get points...... cant stay in this league.   If we took our chances first half they would not have spanked our arse in the 2nd . People keep going on about we need this or that type of player .  We need someone who can score goals . We made enough chances to have four first half but bad finishing and bad decision making buggered that up. Plan for next season in the 4th, and make the first priority a goal scorer.

"Ive Lost The Argument, So As You Were"

"You've not been sitting at home, not watching or listening to the the game, drinking <ovf censored> lager and being a pointless keyboard warrior with no clue about football, life in general, or have the ability to spell or create a legible sentence?"

"👍"

The question also has to be asked if Carol will bankroll another promotion push.

Last summer, she backed the previous manager to the hilt, indulged him with new signings before he got shut of any of the existing squad, bloated the wage bill, paid out fees for promising non league/Scottish players with good goalscoring records, and got us promoted.

But at that point, she clearly was given the impression by Moore that the existing squad was good enough, and we just needed to pad out with squad players. That's turned out to be a fallacy and we're in real trouble and despite the outlay we look like we're going to be back where we started when she took over.

Brady will undoubtedly want to move some players on in the summer, but with the likes of Byers, Marosi, Gordon, Waine etc all being under contract, what scope will he have unless Carol does the same again and lets him get targets in before they find buyers for the ones he doesn't want?

There isn't another Tolaj out there to get us out of L2, and several of the "big names" will still be here.

I just can't see Carol putting another few million in just to end up back where we were when she took over - again.

Ferguson lost 4-2 and 3-0 against Mansfield last two games he faced them and the 4-2 defeat came in a spell when Mansfield had similar form to us currently from Christmas onwards last season!

Ferguson was rock bottom and his replacement who was working at Bristol Airport before getting the call has got a decent tune out of the same squad.

Dont get the fuss over Ferguson he hasn’t done anything in years. Got massively out done by Darren Moore in Posh’s biggest game in recent years when he had a 4-0 advantage.

looking at this thread im reluctant to repeat what has been said 99% of it i agree with. the fact remains the club is a mess and we have incompetence regarding what goes on on the pitch from the very very top. carol said once in an interview " if we lose we learn" i havent seen that in 3-4 years now.

Three words. Profit and sustainability

Same old vale, give us hope early doors, dont score. Amos poor, wudv bin a different game if not conceded 2nd goal. Brady seemed to be clued up afterwards tho

First half played some lovely football, but didn’t take our chances. We moved the ball quickly and took fewer touches on the ball under Moore.

Second half we were second best, made too many mistakes and never looked like scoring. Amos is a second choice goalie. I m not sure whether Humphrey’s is absolute class or absolute garbage.

Brady needs to sort us out in the defensive third and the final third. Devante Cole needs to be in the box not on the wing. We need someone who can put a quality ball in the box.No one ever attacks a cross and invariably they are always over hit. The first thing I would look at if I was manager would be to look at the delivery into the box.  I have never known a team so inept at corners. We have so many, yet never looked like scoring like scoring.

We need to be patient and give Brady time. He looks super passionate and hopefully he is up to the job. No chance that we will stay up now.

Agree on Humphreys, I think he’s simultaneously class and garbage.

You’d struggle to find a centre half at league 1 level who’s as comfortable with the ball at their feet as he is.

However, defensively I’ve come to the conclusion he’s garbage. Constantly switches off and loses his man. He was rubbish for their first goal today with how he ended up showing their player inside.

And the second, even though the Amos was clearly terrible for palming it back out, Humphreys is completely asleep and leaves the man free to put it in. A good centre half stops that.

I despair at a lot of the toxic reaction from supporters giving abuse to the team after today. I’d understand it more if it was still Darren Moore’s tactics and setup though.

Obviously second half was not good enough but he’s had 9 days with the players, 3 games, changes are not going to happen overnight nor is it realistic.

It’s pretty amazing Moore was given a free pass considering the awful squad he inherited, but we’re not prepared to cut the new manager some slack who actually wants to set the team out to win games.

Just all very very dystopian.

totally agree. the footage on social media of a fan giving brady loads of grief is unneccesary. hes been wheeled in to fix nearly 2 years of a shambles. we need to cut the bloke slack this is not an easy fix and its going to take some time due to hierarchy mismanagement.
