For me last night match should have been our strongest 11 on paper with a change of formation being 4-4-2 or 4-3-1-2 to try out against Fleetwood ahead of Sat and hopefully thereafter.

So the flip side if DM not prepared to change it when he had the opportunity in lets face it should have been no more than a training match against reasonable opposition, he isn't going change it for Sat or the foreseeable. Could argue why risk putting your strongest on paper, team out when we had already qualified, its a nothing game why risk injury etc. What was there to loose, missed a trick last night and for me just shows the DM has no plan B.

Sad really because I believe we have the quality of players to survive in this league and to lay the foundations to build on, but for his tactics and formation which I also believe is reflecting in players body language / aptitude. 3 times at work today been told by none vale fans that watched the game, players look dis-interested, speaks volumes.

Darren Moore hasn’t played a back 4 in years and isn’t going to start now.

Why ?

Ojo created two goals with passes that cut their defence open and was man of the match by the report on here. What more do you want him to do?

Both Ojo and G. Hall should start on Saturday based on tonight. Neither will. And that's the main reason why Moore will be gone.

Not sure what you are getting at mate. I said he had a better game than most. My opinion is based on the quality we had on show and the quality of the opposition too. Was he good yes was the quality on show poor yes hence not getting to carried away. Does he deserve a start satdee absolutely. Will he get one…prob not as he played 90 minutes last night so will need to recuperate for 3 weeks now.

I just find it utterly perplexing that DM continues to play players out of position rather than change the formation to suit the players available. We have the players to play a 4231/433 or even a 442/4141/4411. I really cannot get my head around him persisting with 3 at the back.

I guess this could also be whats frustrating the players as it must be knocking their confidence and making them look poor when played out of position instead of changing the formation/system to suit the players currently fit

Curtis looks completely lost

Such a waste of a talented player,we have seen him rip teams apart in League One when playing for Portsmouth and in League Two for Wimbledon when played in his usual position,i really feel sorry for him

A noticeable thing last night again was that Wild was waving his players forward etc and encouraging them on(very animated) and DM was stood there as usual with his hands in his pockets and we are paying good money to him for that( I really like him and want him to succeed as our manager but i just cant see that happening now)

Faal and Brown are out of position just by being on the pitch.

On my own here again i guess but i actually think Faal was better than Stockley last night to be fair to him, although none of the players were any good really

To be fair, we did play a back four partway through last season, we did so in the 4-1 win at Newport to great effect, and then against Chesterfield at home, then changed to a back three at half time when we were 2-0 down at Accrington and stuck with it for the rest of the season.

Moore though seems to want 3-4-3 to work in spite of it being our least effective formation. Don't forget we started at Rotherham with that formation and were hopeless, changed to a 4-3-2 at half time following Headley's sending off and should have won the game.

I don’t think Stockley touched the ball in the first half

Irrespective of the tournament, that was as poor defensively as I’ve seen all season. Debrah just isn’t good enough, but then again who is???

sorry to say but we are going down if Moore stays any longer.

I honestly do think that if we lose on Saturday then Carol will sack him but i obviously hope that we win like all vale should do really imo

You really are like a vulture picking over the carcass aren’t you.

Not one single post from you when Vale went on a great run at the end of last season.
Not a single post from you when Vale got promoted last season.

We’re on an horrendous run now and you seem absolutely delighted in it. Revelling in our misery.

For what it’s worth, I actually agree with you. I think Moore should go. I don’t think he can turn it around.
However, given your disappearing act whenever we’re doing well I can’t take you seriously and honestly wish you’d crawl back under the rock you’ve emerged from.

Vale till I die. Through thick and thin.

Lets make no bones about it ST is absolutely loving it now, which is very sad indeed imo but i think we all knew he would be back as soon as Moore was on the ropes

We can throw in a few others to sweeten the deal.

Including the manager 🙂
