Gosh, a player I have seen before. Quite a while ago at Hinckley United along side Raglan on loan from Vale, went to see Aspins Halifax who had a promising striker. Unfortunately transferred the previous week (Vardy). Saw him play against non league Luton in the Cup, who quickly snapped him up for about £25k, outside Vales range at the time. Then quite a career. Welcome aboard.

Ruari is close to joining St Johnstone on loan and according to this article he was a transfer target for them in the Summer but we clearly wanted to keep him at the time.

Considering we play with one up top, you would assume that Gray plays, we’ve got a fair few strikers on the books.

Paton is off from the looks of it although Brady sees him as a 10 anyway. Does Brown go back now?

To be honest we’ve shipped out people who either don’t fit, don’t want to be here or both - for transfer fees likely commanded for experienced players with years left on their contracts. Replaced them with loans or short-terms who can do a job without absorbing that profit. The squad is leaner too. All this constrained by the fact that it must be very difficult to attract players at the moment. The only Brady-er that’s played has been Archer and he’s looked excellent. I trust in Brady’s project at the moment as he’s shaping the squad, and incrementally improving a very bloated, underperforming and demotivated squad. Wait until the summer when he has cash, space and time to really get his squad on the way to where he wants them.

Brown stays. Has more legs than Stockley. 

I don't think we see Paton in a Vale shirt ever again 😞

he's a 1 in 6 at best in his last 95 games. I hope like you say he stays fit enough, or not forgotten where the onion bag is that we have been so lacking in this season.
