Have the friendlies. Don’t let fans in. Wasn’t clear on that. Don’t even tell them it’s happening. Our first taste of PVFC futbol should be the first game of the season. I wouldn’t even bother announcing signings.

The reactions to these training exercises are most concerning. Lots of folk without much going on out there. Wants looking in to.

No thank you,I love football and that includes knowing about pre season and updates on the games, also I include the u18's in that and their friendlies

As usual why do people mention doing something that will ruin it for the rational fan base(which is the majority imo) just because of the minority who over react to these things

Birmingham manager thinks we will do well in League One especially at home and thinks DM is doing a very good job

Could of or could have? Which one do we think? New season, new determination to get this one right on here? Perhaps? 😁 What do you think? Or shall we just continue to slaughter our beloved English language?  NW19 seems to get it right....

Depends on whether you are one the haves, or of nots.

The very last time I make a tongue in cheek comment on here. Man alive.

YOU CAN’T BAN FRIENDLIES!

Can’t believe people have engaged with it seriously.

“I wouldn’t even bother announcing signings” and folk read that and thought “this is a very serious point which needs rebutting”.

Come on Joe it's now you going ott here and losing it

I didn't mention that you said ban friendlies because you didn't,my point was you saying no info,no fans in and no updates, that bit i found just silly that's all

I dont for one minute think what you said was meant tongue in cheek but you expected a more positive response(which in fairness a lot of your posts do get from me included) when you haven't had that you now say it was tongue in cheek..... only my opinion on this point

Have to say very disappointed to see Ojo wearing a Vale shirt this afternoon.

Football isn’t just about ability.

I would have banished him to the kids.

Don’t want people like representing the club and the area.

Why dont we leave the decision of whether his attitude is right to the guy whos paid to manage the squad. If hes happy with it i am. Yes i was unhappy with him relegation season. But why dont we give him another chance if moore has decided hes worth it. He could go next week but if hes got a vale top on come next Saturday he will be getting a cheer from me

Yes I was completely serious when I said ban friendlies and announcements on signings and we just turn up on the first weekend with no clue who the players are. That’s a sincere belief of mine.

Man alive.

Do you only read your own posts? I never mentioned about you saying dont announce signings signings or banning friendlies for goodness sake so get a grip here, you are losing it Joe

I was responding to you saying dont let fans in,and no updates on friendlies which you did say and which you meant imo....... not once have i taken the banning friendlies and not announcing signings as serious and from what i see only ONE person went for that,so as i say you are going a bit ott here 😉 dont worry though we all do it,even you Joe

He was our best player today.

He could be the best player at the club - doesn’t matter shouldn’t be here.

The Funso situation does seem odd, I wasnt there yesterday, but a few are saying he played well, and if DM is selecting him, then im sure he has earned it.

Someone posted earlier about last season - Funso Ojo or Rakeem Harper?, for me it would have been Funso everytime, but I seem to be in the minority who didnt think he downed tools

Having said all that, I think he could well move on, but again as someone pointed out earlier, if Rhys Walters can come back from his issues, then why not Funso

The 2 situations with Ojo and Rhys are incomparable. A 33 year old professional, club vice captain is a very different to a 17 year old ( at the time) trying to make is way on the game.

Thanks mbe, fair points, and I appreciate they are completely different circumstances, my main point being that if DM thinks his attitude is good enough and he gives his all, then he will deserve our support (the same as any other player wearing the black and whites / black and yellows / dodgy shiny blues / iffy green and pinks)

The Ojo debate is an interesting one. He's nothing more than a lower half L1 player for me & age is not on his side.

Yes he had a decent game yesterday, but we've seen that from him before. He turns it off & on when he sees fit. For every game where he oozes a bit of class, there will be another couple where he goes missing or just strolls about the pitch.

I can take him or leave him myself. Not a bad player to have in the squad if he stays & won't lose an ounce of sleep if he moves on.

The upside is that by the time we have finished falling out about friendlies and funso, it will be season kick off time - then we can start falling out about everything- roll on next Saturday :classic_biggrin:

Have a great week all you beautiful bouncing valiants :classic_biggrin:
