Match Thread: Port Vale v Birmingham City (friendly)

I’m not really sure why he’s being discussed.

I rate him more than most on here but he’s downed tools twice and wasn’t wanted by us in league 2.

May have played ok yesterday but remember it’s a friendly and we can’t judge based off a friendly. I’m pretty certain he will be gone before the end of the window along with a couple of others.

Walters is a far better player than Ojo and much younger. Ojo has had two chances already and downed tools on both occasions. With our options in the middle I don’t see where he fits in or what benefit he brings to the squad.

He will be gone.

I think people forget then just want to move on, I can't imagine ojo thinking vale would rebound back to league one he wanted out, I thought we would of subbed players on in mass but it was treated like a proper match.

Walters should have had gametime though even if he was out of his depth he would of learnt from that, I think he would of done good even possibly got a scout report, like you I honestly believe he will be the superior player if he had the same men strength and experience as ojo.

Vale fans ALWAYS need a scapegoat.

Someone to moan about pre match, "Oh god, why is he starting?"

Someone to lay blame on, regardless of how they actually played. "It's like playing with 10 men with him in the side".

There has NEVER been a period in history without one. Written off before every game. Booed on and off the pitch. Abused while warming up.

It's seems this years winner is Ojo, with Marosi gaining popularity too.

Why is there no position in the middle? It equally drives me nuts you can't even speak about a player regardless of the issue because someone starts mentality melting.

It's like people's emotions can't handle discussion, I have even seen people threaten to quit watching vale because of it, I mean talk about being soft or needing their heads on the sand 😄

I do get the fan base can join in and knock confidence more but still...

Roll on the season proper starting to settle us down a bit ... 🙂

Because ...??

He had no <ovf censored> out ball. The same as Jess. No out ball

<ovf censored> me learn the rest of the game

I thought Jessie had a decent game yesterday and he is a much better player than when he last played in L1

Anyone know what the attendance was yesterday? from my view in Lorne St looked close to 3k with a good following from Birmingham City

I do agree with Granville, in that being balanced is a good trait - I like to think im as level headed as it gets, but in the heat of the moment we can all lose it a bit on here -  its because we are passionate about our hobby, and at the end of the day, thats all football is, something to watch and engage in which brings us enjoyment (at times 😂😂😂)

As iv said before, me ole pappy used to say "if you cant moan about work and football, you cant moan about anything"

edit

iv just read through this post and I anna got a clue what point I was trying to make 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

You lost me with ....I do agree with Granville 🤣🤣🤣
