    Surely his record last season proves he WAS a goalscorer not that he IS.

    To me, it strongly suggests his best days are behind him.

    I'd love it if we went for either an established player who no one thought we could ever get,or a Prem player on loan.

    For those old enough I remember us getting Lee Glover from Forest on the eve of the season,and getting the likes of Futcher,Ally Brown,Aspin,Glover...were brilliant players. I know those days are long gone but wouldn't it be great?

    Well absolutely. Although Northampton can only blame themselves as his injury record was progressively getting worse with us. 
     

    Even Loft managed a couple of goals for Cambridge this season.

    Loft's got 2 in 34 this season.

    I don't intend to keep singling him out but how we managed to sell him for a FEE after he got 2 in 38 for us before being sold still blows my mind, as does Cambridge offering a 3 year deal with an option on a 4th.

    In 22/23 we started the season with McDermott up front, then had to play Pett as a forward. Last season we had Loft and Uche. The difference this season with Stockley and Tolaj following Flitcroft's departure is mental.

    The fact he didn’t play doesn’t necessarily mean he was injured.

    My Northampton supporting mate said he was mainly warming the bench.
