Hart and Ojo remain under contact, so we would need to sell. I would like Chislett to work, but I don't see him staying personally. Jones and Lowe are obviously going, I'd assume Edwards and Harper too.

This isn’t a dig at you by the way, but how do people judge a player based on seeing them just once possibly twice against us? I can hardly remember other players names let alone say we should be signing so and so. I just sit there hating everyone we play against.

A committed Chislett is obviously an asset but I just don’t see where he fits in with how we play now and quite frankly he’s come across as though mentally he has already gone since January.

Hopefully Tranmere take on Crosby. That seems the easiest pathway to offloading Ojo.

Surprised to see Matty Pearson released by Huddersfield.

Unsure of the reasons why, but he'd be perfect for us in terms of ability and experience.

Haha, that's fair enough, and I mostly do the same. We'd have been hard-pushed to pick Michael Cheek out as a top scorer from our Bromley games, for example.

For me, it's a mix of having seen him play a relatively assured game against us, then look into him after the game, keep seeing him looking tidy on highlights (I'm sad enough to have followed some highlights and the odd live game of some of our rivals at the top.) And then obviously his stats have been pretty eye-catching too.

And right now, I'm also thinking about what we need in the squad, and he's a pretty good fit IMO. I'm struggling to think of many others - Molyneux would be nice, but I doubt he's going to be available to us.

All these retained lists and players being released makes me think of the Champ Man days at the end of the season where I'd be licking my lips at the free transfer market like a rabid Lion. 

If Carol backs Darren well again we could see some very tasty and exciting players come through the doors in the coming weeks.

the issue sits with chislet as the manager only places him on the subs bench but I believe he is one of our best carriers of the ball

 

and smith’s contract is up as well

On the subject of who we want, do we get a decent payoff for coming second in the league? Is the tv money etc in L1 more than L2 or is it a flat fee, I seem to recall £300k being bandied about. Given the current funding by our owners, L1 costs going to be much higher, does revenue trend with it? Cheers. Have a great Wednesday you beautiful valiants

There must be a reason a Mansfield are releasing him. Has one of the lowest save % in league one last season according to fbref.

The Away followings will increase massively, only Walsall got close to selling out with Crewe and Bradford modestly close.

L1 is really Northern this year so a lot of big followings I expect.
