He's averaged about 45 games a season over the last 7 seasons, so a real playing asset.

We can't afford to do what we have in the past and hit that level without cover so having him and Stockley would mean we have decent competition for either, then Tolaj plus one to compete for the more technical, pacey striker role.

    Just a side note on released players………

    Remember it’s not necessarily the clubs decision,  player may already have told the club they are not interested in signing.

    Clubs try to control the narrative so Released doesn’t always mean they are no longer wanted by the club.

    On Santos he looked a bit donkey against us but you don’t get into L1 team of the season being a donkey.

    An upgrade in terms of L1 experience and physical attributes on any of our current CB.

    Santos is an odd one, every time I have seen him hes been terrible, largely that 6-3 and the run around he got from Devante Rodney and then getting sent off at Vale Park... but he was raved about so must just be one who struggles against us, like a bogey team!

    IF you watched Rodney in that game you’d think he was destined for greatness in the Champions League!

    It’s fair to say with hindsight that game was a freak result and with freak performances.

    Grimsby released Jake Eastwood and made there other goalkeeper Jordan wright available for transfer. One of them played at vale the other week and did well so could be worth signing. 

    Paul farman had good game at vale park for barrow but he's aged 34 so don't know if we would want sign another older goalkeeper.

    Ripley had the highest I think the season before we signed him. Means nowt in isolation

    Eastwood was the Grimsby keeper in the 2-2, made an absolute worldie as well as lying on the ground quite often in the second half. However until a 4-0 home defeat before our game Wright was in goal.

    Must admit L2 release and transfer listed players have no interested in them.

    We need better.

    Players who had a career day once against we should have no interest in.

    He also had the highest ego the season we signed him.
