Can’t judge him on 1 JPT performance.

He was very highly rated at Stoke and by England.

Still very young.

Don't go JPT. Just looked a kid who needs bulking up.

Wouldn't of fancied him in our nets.

That highly rated at Stoke that he left on a free to Wimbledon?

He'll be back up so good move to a big club.

@darren1810 he does need to bulk up as all kids do.

I can’t say how I know or who but all I can say is there was a lot more going on than that. Stoke didn’t want him to leave.

Equally Wimbledon didn’t want him to leave either.

You obviously know him or his family.

He was bloody crap!!!

Bolton must be desperate.

Someone I know who watches Man United youth a lot reckons that United keeper we have would do fine at lower league 1 / 2 level. Only reason they had him though was to warm the youth bench while they sent people out.

I watched the JPT game with Broome in and after the game just never wanted to see him keep nets for us again.

Wish him all the best though, being a GK is unforgiving at times if mistakes are made.

Speaking of goalkeepers and ex-players. Wasn’t he around in the season where we had 8 keepers or something daft?

Yeah, he was the only decent one between Jak Alnwick and Scott Brown

A fair point. I'm more irked by ex-players being the ultimate no-no. As if access to Wikipedia makes people Ray Williams.

Don't get the Ray Williams thing

You've confused me there. How do ex players relate to Wikipedia? Or Ray Williams for that matter.

I embarrassingly mistook him for Shorrock at that promotion celebrations morning and congratulated him on a good breakthrough season.

Bet he thought what's that clown on about.

Eat 3 in record time will be the only hat-trick he will get, stuff a Wouter Burger down his throat straight after and he goes on the Lard wall of fame.

The great Ray Williams was a senior Vale scout for about 30 years.

Following his playing services to the club.
