They definitely underachieved in L1 last season so they will put that right this season and the signings they have made are certainly L1 if not Championship quality. The only thing that puts me slightly off them is the fact that Lee Grant has never managed before.

Wrexham got additional financial backing last season by bringing on board the "Allyn family" whose billions were made in medical device manufacturing in the USA. Presumably it enabled Wrexham to shell out on Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez in the Jan 2025 transfer window to score the goals and get them into the auto promo spots to the Championship.

I wouldn't swap Carol and Kevin for any other owners but if Vale could attract the right bored billionaire who is prepared to gift the club some cash with no strings attached then I'd take that!!! Can allow a dream now and again.

Curious as to when the club will announce who we've found to come in at GK, assuming that's the next signing. 

Patrick Bauer is a weird one. Very good player who would be ideal as the big man in the middle of a 3. Not sure why he did nothing but warm PNE's bench last season though. For the poor season they had, you'd think they'd have chucked him in at some point.

I know this will attract a few eyeballs, but if we still need striker cover, Ellis Harrison on a short term deal could be an option.

Yep rated him at Charlton and not surprised he moved up to the championship with Preston but barely featured last 3 seasons for them, 12 games in all comps.  Was he injured for some of that or just out of favour/warming the bench? Surprised he wasn't seeking a loan move out of there at least unless there has been a fitness issue? Still only 33 during next season you'd think he'd have something to offer in league one at least.

Surprised Ellis Harrison is without a club. Very strong back to goal. Adam Reach certainly has been a good player.

The Vale fan obsession with ex players eh. I liked Harrison in his spell with us and he did a job(probably helped keep us up in one sense) but his form since leaves a bit to be desired, which would suggest a poor attitude? Never stays anywhere beyond 18 months whether he's done good, bad or indifferent. Shame as there's a player in there. One to consign to the history books methinks.
