    Didn’t we do that with Dipepa last summer then sold him to Southampton later that summer? Gives us extra insurance in terms of a fee if he was to be sold so fair enough in any case.

    Don’t think some Vale fans grasp how good he is.

    17 year olds very rarely play much professional football, let alone influence the outcome of it.

    MK, Crewe, Bradford, Bromley. Some wing-backs would go an entire season without having a defining impact in 4 games.

    There will have been clubs interested, without question.

    Totally agree,we really do put our trust in our younger players,it's also good for the club because he always has teams watching him and this means that we dont have to panic sell him as his contract nears its end
