Looks like Wilder is getting the boot at SHef Utd, surely that means his future son in law can jump ship :0)

Jump ship to a top Premier League side

Well there’s a new rule coming in for GK time wasting next season resulting in corners if they don’t release the ball after 6 seconds.

So I’m guessing the rules count this as not in play, but refs have never been great at dealing with time wasting.
I'll believe it will be applied at our level when I see it. Or it will be like that yellow card for kicking the ball away rule. Flurry of yellows for the first 5 games, before normal service is resumed

Joking aside Pressley I think was linked to us a couple of years ago,a big youth but never really impressed when I have seen him

Wasn’t he unplayable for Accrington and then he juts nose dived since

Paudie O’Connor to Reading on 4 year deal.

I aren't sure if he has been linked anywhere yet but considering Sproson thinks we are in the market for an experienced striker who can run in behind with a bit of pace I would like to see us try and get Josh Koroma, has Championship and League One experience and I think he played for Moore for the few months he was at Huddersfield

Aside from the fact you keep mentioning Josh Koroma so you must love him 😉, isn't he more of a winger? Doesn't fit the pacy striker role.

Joe Gardner from Forest who was at Lincoln last year would be a good prospect

Would be more of a replacement for Curtis I’d say.

Sounds like you still enjoy the game, which is good to know.

I do too, some of the time.

On other occasions, it does become like a pantomime. Once fans start singing 'you don't know what you're doing', you know things are unravelling.

Is it that the ball is in play for something like 50% of the 90+ minutes?

There certainly are lots of delaying tactics that stop the flow of the game, and many other instances of questionable, theatrical tumbles.

I just enjoy players and managers who just get on with it. Good old fashioned sportsmanship.

I'm really enjoying the under-21 tournament at the moment, where there is certainly much less time-wasting "game management" going on! Enjoyed women's football since the Lionesses won and, yes, enjoyed Vale's promotion season and win at Wembley. And much of last season, and am looking forward to this season muchly!

Time-wasting, tbh, has been a problem since the 60's, and, yes, there is a long way short of 90 minutes played. But that ought to be easily rectified if refs gave yellow cards after just a couple of seconds of faffing about; and reversed the decision to the team not time-wasting? Soon cut the crap out! Eliminate shirt-pulling; pushing players over and the grappling that goes on at set pieces and you're, again, extending the playing time. As for the chants of "you don't know what you're doing"? - sadly, some of this is correct - as we know, some refs are not up to the standard required. And some of it is borne out of frustration at having their own tactics used against them by frustrated fans!

Oh...and I enjoyed seeing Brentford / Brighton / Bournemouth / Newcastle and Villa's efforts to get into Europe prolonging the competition until the last few games! And I've only just deleted Leeds Utd 6 v Sjoke 0, having watched that a few times!

Please does anyone have a rumour, a speculation or even a deranged fantasy about our next incoming talent?

Player, or management team, or both?

erm no

Just seen ex Vale defender Sammy Robinson has signed for Buxton. Always one who divided opinion but judging by the level he ended up at one the management got right when they released him.
